I’ll keep this brief but please read and take what I say into consideration when deciding whether or not to download / purchase Hinge. Over the course of 2 years I’ve been banned not one, not twice, but you guessed it… 3 times. Banned 3 times for doing absolutely nothing mind you. I’ve never promoted/ never harassed anyone- simple just was myself. And being myself didn’t get my very far, clearly. If you want to make it out of Hinge alive, you basically have to play the game. What game you’re asking? The game of pictures. Ladies, if you’re too pretty Hinge is not the app for you. Although it’s design is mean to focus more on “prompts”, men ultimately are swiping on you because of you’re looks, right- and you might be asking, why would this be an issue if I’m hot? Well, here’s where it becomes a problem- you have jealous and pitiful men report you- thus leading to your ban. Oh, but that’s not all folks. Absolutely do NOT put your Instagram bio in your prompt, because that would be self promoting. But, only as a woman, as a male on Hinge promoting is OK…you won’t get reported! As a lady, you will. That’s the extent of my rant and with this I hope you decide to choose another app who’s creators aren’t shallow misogynists. Good riddance to hinge & all of the F-boys just looking for anything that walked and had 2 legs.
