Commercials will play after intro or during contact. Pretty much each time it will error out and state it has trouble playing content. Re-launching app starts commercials again and again fails to play content. So I end up watching the same commercials over and over. Only powering off device and restarting and then manually scrolling past commercial break, and only if it’s already been played in its entirety at least once, can you then play content. This happens constantly with the paid commercial subscription. If you pay for no commercials this never happens. It’s also a constant problem with FOX content but not really at all with NBC or other providers. Of note not only does this happen on my phone app, but my tablet, computer, Roku, and Android TV. HULU service just has major problems unless you pay for the no (really limited) commercial option. I love Hulu but I spend more time rebooting all my devices after each commercial break than watching actually content. Again it happens after updates to the Hulu app, after device updates, and regardless to the devices. With this app I must log out, delete the app and then load the app back on to my iPad. It always states in this app on my iPad that there is a weak connection. I have never had a weak connection.
