1.7 million people have been displaced and the humanitarian system is collapsing. [USA for UNFPA]( "Everyone in Gaza is hungry. 1.7 million people have been displaced. The humanitarian system is collapsing. I call for rapid, safe, unhindered, expanded, sustained humanitarian access throughout Gaza." — United Nations Secretary-General --------------------------------------------------------------- [RUSH A GIFT]( The nightmare for women and girls in Gaza is getting worse by the day. The crisis is now in its fifth month and we know that in the next 30 days: - 690,000 women and girls will get their period. Almost none of them have access to periods products, sanitation, or clean clothes. In fact, those who have access to them are taking birth control pills to delay their periods. - 5,500 women will give birth in a war zone. These women are hungry, dehydrated, and have insufficient access to maternal health services. Women are being ushered out of hospital beds hours after giving birth to make room for those in active labor or with traumatic injuries. - 1 million women and girls will continue to face displacement, violence, and hunger. These conditions have put them in immediate risk of severe injury and death. Of the more than 25,000 Gazans who have died in this conflict, 70% are women and children. [A woman and child in Gaza]( [With no end to this violence in sight, women and girls need your support more than ever. Will you rush an emergency gift to Gaza and wherever support is needed most?]( [MAKE AN EMERGENCY GIFT]( UNFPA deeply regrets the end of the humanitarian pause in Gaza. We condemn the violence in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank, including all sexual violence against women, and echo the UN Secretary-General’s call for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire and for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas. Thank you for not looking away. — USA for UNFPA [usaforunfpa.org]( | info@usaforunfpa.org | [Privacy Policy]( SENT BY USA FOR UNFPA: THE UN SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AGENCY What does UNFPA stand for?
