[1]( [Kathy Najimyâs 1993 interview for 'Hocus Pocus' is going viral for the sweetest reason]( If you grew up in the '90s, chances are you watched the original "Hocus Pocus" and declared yourself one of the three Sanderson sisters. But did you know that Kathy Najimy was committed to being respectful of practicing witches when she first read the script for the movie in the early '90s? Me either. A resurfaced video of Najimy has recently gone viral on TikTok showing an interview by Katie Couric on the "Today" show. In the video, Najimy expresses the importance of being respectful of other people, cultures and things she may not understand, including practicing witches. In present day, this is not something that anyone would provide fanfare around, because we absolutely should be respectful of others in our art form. It's something that people have been working extremely hard at for the past several years as we've evolved as a whole. But in 1993, things like cultural appropriation and mindfulness of people who were different from the majority was essentially scoffed at publicly. Funnily enough, in the interview Najimy says, "At the risk of having America roll their eyes, I just feel supportive of all groups, whether theyâre womenâs groups or gay groups or racial groups, and I know that there are groups of witches out there." [2]( [A NICU nurse was so loving to their baby, the parents asked her to be godmother]( Itâs a little funny that there are people who make tremendous differences in our lives that we never speak to again when their job is done. People in the healthcare profession regularly save peopleâs lives and then, after we thank them, we're likely to never see them again. Thatâs why this story is so touching. A family appreciated the work of a NICU nurse so much, they asked her to be part of the family. Good Morning America reports that when Austyn Evans was pregnant with her son Conrad, she and her husband, Branden, learned that he had a rare birth defect known as lower urinary tract obstructions. The defect can be life-threatening, so Austyn and Branden moved from Florida to Houston in her third trimester so she and Conrad could be cared for at Texas Children's Hospital. "It's a very bad diagnosis to get," Austyn told Good Morning America. âA lot of these kids do not survive past zero or they just survive a few days past birth." [4]( [10 basic things every adult really should know but most of us don't]( When you think about it, 18 years really isn't a lot of time to learn all the things you need to know before you move into adulthood. Any parent or caregiver can attest that the first five years of a child's life is spent trying to make sure they don't accidentally seriously maim themselves, or worse. But just when you think that stage has passed, it rears its underdeveloped frontal cortex again in the early teen years. That doesn't leave much time for solidifying all the "common knowledge" things parents need to teach their kids before they move out. Someone on Reddit asked the question, "What's some basic knowledge that a scary amount of people don't know?" and the people did not disappoint. Or maybe they did disappoint since this is about things that should be common sense, but aren't. Either way, the people on Reddit had a lot to say about the things that should've been learned before adulthood and some of them may surprise even the adultiest adult. There were more than 28,000 responses. Here's the top 10⦠[Read the story](

As people are making their final decisions about whether to go scary, silly, cute or obscure, some are also deciding how to dress up their doggos. Who doesn't love seeing a pup with a superhero cape or a dog in a wig and sunglasses bopping down the street? Whether dogs truly appreciate being dressed up is up for debate. Some people might think it's cruel to put clothes on an animal, but according to PetMD, not all dogs dislike being dressed up. For those who clearly don't mind, it can be fun to find Halloween costumes that will make the neighbors giggle. Some dog costumes are pretty basic, but some definitely exceed expectations. People have been sharing dog costumes on social media that are too clever and hilarious to pass up.
