Are you someone who received a pet as a Christmas gift this year? It's kind of astounding that this is a thing, isn't it? After all, a pet isn't something someone can just bring home, put in a corner, and forget about. It's an actual living thing that has to be cared for. The thing, whatever it is, has to be fed, and there's poop that has to be scooped and whatnot! Surely in many instances the person receiving a pet as a gift has expressed a desire to receive one, but there are a gazillion stories out there of people who have received pets as gifts who did not ask for them. "Merry Christmas, here's a thing that's going to fundamentally alter your life. Enjoy!" The decision to gift someone a pet will forever be one of the boldest and/or craziest gifts a person can give. Anyway, below are some things we made for you that we didn't want you to miss. Oh, and here's a song of the day for you: ["Without You" by Electric Youth]. -- We debated whether congressional term limits [would be a good thing or not.] -- We explained why The Good Place is a TV show that [rarely gets made anymore]. -- We detailed all the [reboots, remakes and sequels] coming this year. -- We told you [why 2017 will be a the year] sugar jumps the shark. -- We broke down [this year's Puppy Bowl] for you. -- We wondered [if Meek Mill is finished] now that he's been [dumped by Nicki Minaj]. -- We reviewed the new season of [It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia]. -- We discussed the changing face of the annual [Television Critics Association gathering] in the era of social media. -- We took you on [a visual tour of some amazing places] to consider visiting in 2017. -- We pondered [whether it makes sense for Conan] to switch to a weekly format. -- We took a look at the trend of [people dropping acid at work]. And here are some things you might want/need to know about. -- [Tucker Calson will replace Megyn Kelly] as Fox News goes all in and [essentially transforms into Trump TV]. -- Four Chicago residents were arrested for [torturing a mentally disabled man] and broadcasting it on Facebook. -- U.S. [intelligence agencies are absolutely convinced] that it was the Russian government that hacked the DNC and DNC operatives. -- Archer [went back to the 1940s] with the promo for its new season. -- Amanda Nunes is [still sh*t-talking Ronda Rousey]. -- Kim Burrell's homophobic rant got her [kicked off her own show]. -- Larry David hates documentaries, [but he'll participate in them]. -- A historically black college's marching band will [perform at Trump's inauguration]. -- Lawmakers in Texas and Virginia [are now trying to pass laws] to prevent transgender people from using public restrooms. -- Chucky is back in the [new Cult of Chucky trailer]. -- Everyone, [including Chance the Rapper], is ranking Kanye's albums. -- The Shins are [dropping their first record] in some time.
