Hello, Uproxx readers! Let’s get caught up on today. ------------------------------------------

Hello, Uproxx readers! Let’s get caught up on today. --------------------------------------------------------------- The five most interesting things: 1) Zac Efron is Ted Bundy in [the Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile trailer.]( Ted Bundy is so in right now. The subject of a recent crime docu-series, the serial killer's life is now a Netflix film starring Zac Efron. The story focuses on Bundy's relationship with Liz Kloepfer when he's arrested and charged with grisly murders. Zac Efron brings a ton of charisma (and abs) to the psychopath in the trailer, and we are stoked, if not a little scared, to see it. 2) Here's [everything new on Netflix this week.]( Every day is a good day to binge watch what's coming and going from Netflix, including [the fitting farewell to Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt]( and all the movies leaving Netflix on February 1st. Time to cancel all non-streaming plans. 3) Cardi B + "Baby Shark" = infectious as hell. The rapper/surprise political pundit posted [a short video on Instagram of her catwalking to the "Baby Shark" earworm,]( and it's pretty perfect. This coming right before her upcoming [Grammys performance]( and [Super Bowl Pepsi commercial]( shows we just can't get enough of Cardi. 4) Once Upon A Time In Hollywood photos have hit the web. [Vanity Fair published a glitzy look]( at Quentin Tarantino's new movie, and the pics feature Leonardo DiCaprio as Rick Dalton, a washed-up Western actor, Brad Pitt as Dalton's stunt double Cliff Booth, and Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate. It'll be Tarantino's take on Charles Manson's frightening Helter Skelter period in LA, and its July 26 release date can't come soon enough. 5) Trump advisor Roger Stone was arrested, [and everyone's got jokes]( Charged with seven counts including making false statements to Congress, Stone was led away in handcuffs this morning as part of Robert Mueller's ongoing Russia investigation. The whole story feels like it's from a movie, including a Godfather reference in the 24-page indictment. It's a ray of sunshine during a time in the government when [the shutdown has delayed air traffic]( IRS employees [are refusing to work because no one's gotten paid]( and everything is generally horrible. [At least the shutdown is now over]( (for the next three weeks, anyway). --------------------------------------------------------------- Deeper dives worth your time: With Better Oblivion Community Center, Phoebe Bridgers and Conor Oberst [are each other's biggest fans.]( From songwriting on mushrooms to truck stops in North Dakota, meet the next great collaborative duo. Which 2019 Oscar Best Picture nominees [will we still be watching in 30 years?]( It's crazy how even some winners in the category get completely forgotten just a few years later (when's the last time you talked about The Artist?). We ranked this year's nominees based on if we'll be re-watching them decades from now and aren't just footnotes in [that insane year that the Oscars didn't have a host.]( The Philadelphia 76ers are freaking exhausting, man. We looked at how they're a fun team full of exciting young players, and how trying to root for them is [more tiring than running a marathon.]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for being an Uproxx subscriber and (obviously) feel free to share our work with your friends.
