Dear United Cargo Customers, While the approaching holiday season looks a little different this year

[United Cargo]( Dear United Cargo Customers, While the approaching holiday season looks a little different this year, we are beginning to see signs of hope on the horizon. Over the last few weeks, several pharmaceutical companies have made announcements about the efficacy and availability of COVID-19 vaccines. It gives us all some hope that we can eventually get back to normal. We know there is still a long road ahead and United Cargo stands ready to do our part to continue supporting all our customers as we have done for decades. Successful vaccine transportation will be critical over the coming weeks and [United Cargo has been preparing]( since this summer. We created a COVID Vaccine Readiness Task Force to ensure we have the right people in place and facilities and equipment ready for the global vaccine transportation effort that comes next. While we don’t know the demand for vaccine shipments yet, we are prepared to play our role in distribution. We have the capability to upsize our planes and add additional cargo-only flights as the demand increases so that we have space for our planned cargo in addition to the vaccines. Part of the role of our Task Force is to make sure that we move forward with what we already have planned for supporting our customers in Q4 and beyond. We expect to continue operating a mix of cargo-only and passenger flights into the next year. We are optimizing our network to make the most efficient use of our aircraft so that we may support all our customers in the best way possible. We’ve operated over 8,000 cargo-only flights since March—an industry-leading program that has helped keep the global supply chain moving, especially as we manage lower volumes of passenger flights. Air cargo is more important than ever, and I’m proud of our United Cargo team for stepping up and doing everything they can to support our customers and communities around the world. Safety has always been a priority at United, but this year it’s been especially important for our employees and customers. Early in the pandemic, [United took industry-leading steps]( to manage the historic impact of COVID-19. We required all United employees and passengers to wear face coverings, maintained a healthy operation by providing personal protective equipment (PPE) and temperature screenings for our employees, and we practiced social distancing. We also practiced these safety measures to protect your employees entering our facilities and warehouses. We would like to thank you for your support and for complying with our safety measures. The last few months have been challenging for us all, to say the least. We would not be here as a company if it were not for our loyal customers and we are incredibly grateful for your support. On behalf of myself and the more than 300 United Cargo employees, I wish that you and your families stay safe and healthy. Happy Holidays! Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
