Those inequities have meant that the Mississippi Supreme Court has only seen four Black justices and never more than one at a time. That fact is a feature, not an error, in our current system – and Ty is fighting to right that wrong. While we (not so) patiently wait for the court’s decision in this case, Ty’s not stopping his work. This issue goes beyond Mississippi, and ensuring fair access to the ballot for every American is a key tenet of Ty’s campaign for the U.S. Senate.
