Ty and the rest of our team have been crisscrossing the state talking with voters and hearing their concerns. [Photo of Ty with university students at the MS Capitol]( [Ty poses with supporters at the Picayune Street Festival]( Ty met with university students at the MS Capitol and had great conversations with folks at the Picayune Street Festival From County Conventions to community organization events to interviews with the press, we’ve been putting in the hours to get out into our neighborhoods and spread the word about what we have the opportunity to accomplish this year. Ty’s also nearing the 100-mile mark of his 800-mile run across Mississippi where he’s talking with the people he meets along the trail. If you haven’t yet, you can check out his updates [here]( [Ty poses with Mississippians he met during his 800-mile run]( [Ty shakes hands with a MS police officer]( Ty's meeting with fellow Mississippians on the running trail We’re using every means at our disposal to make sure folks know that Ty is on the ballot to be our next U.S. Senator and that our team has what it takes to take on an incumbent who has shown he’s not up for the job. As we come to the end of the month, it’s time again that we take stock of where our progress is at – and how we’ll need to adjust to keep our campaign’s pace going strong in May. To keep up the work we’re doing, we need to raise an additional $10,000 before April 30th. We know that with our grassroots team chipping in what they’re able, we’ll meet this goal in no time. [Will you help us keep our campaign running strong in May by chipping in $10, $25, or whatever you’re able to contribute today?]( [DONATE »]( We’ll continue to meet our goals with all of us working together. Thank you for standing with our campaign for change in the U.S. Senate! – Team Pinkins --------------------------------------------------------------- The son of a tractor driver, Ty doesn’t come from a wealthy family. He was born and raised in the small town of Rolling Fork, and is a proud son of the Mississippi Delta. Frustrated by the lack of action from lawmakers on the issues facing people in Mississippi–and believing that the hard-working voters of Mississippi deserve much better–Ty Pinkins decided to run for office: the United States Senate in 2024.
