For all the Black mothers raising little Black girls, for the Mexican student sitting in a classroom

For all the Black mothers raising little Black girls, for the Mexican student sitting in a classroom of all White peers… [It is our privilege to suggest that hope is real and help is real. We could not do this work without you.]( [facebook]( [instagram]( [TikTok](tiktok.com/@twloha) [It is our privilege to suggest that hope is real and help is real. We could not do this work without you.]( [facebook]( [instagram]( [TikTok]( For all the Black mothers raising little Black girls, for the Mexican student sitting in a classroom of all White peers, for the first-generation Asian American, for the Brown males scared to wear a sweatshirt outside, and for every Indigenous family still misrepresented, we are here to honor these truths: [You are not making anything up. You are not exaggerating or being overly emotional. It’s not your job to educate others. You have been required to be strong when you should be free to ask for help. You deserve equal access to mental health care. Your journey is your own, but you are not alone in this fight.]( We talk a lot about stigma. But we recognize the intensity stigma holds within BIPOC communities that comes from a lack of representation within mental health care, too few affirming spaces and providers, and the systemic racism that underpins it all. In order for us to move our mission forward in supporting all who want and need help we believe: [We must listen to the experiences of folks of color and honor your realities.]( Here at TWLOHA, our work of ensuring your voices are amplified is ongoing. Our push to cultivate safe spaces occurs within and outside of BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month. We continue to build out and invest in [mental health resources]( that meet the diverse needs of these communities. Yet, we know there is still so much work to do. This reality does not discourage us but rather inspires us to keep pushing forward. [We see you and your story is worth fighting for.]( [With Hope, TWLOHA]( For all the Black mothers raising little Black girls, for the Mexican student sitting in a classroom of all White peers, for the first-generation Asian American, for the Brown males scared to wear a sweatshirt outside, and for every Indigenous family still misrepresented, we are here to honor these truths: [You are not making anything up.
