We have a sworn duty to get to the truth. All donations are tax-deductible and go directly to our modest budget.  [Click here to donate.]( [Click here to donate.]( (Truthout is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. EIN: 20-0031641) What shall it be today, Mr. Trump? What indefensible, utterly repugnant nugget of filth will you cough up on our national carpet this morning? It is a daily occurrence with you and yours, literally. Not one day has passed since your inauguration -- hell, since your campaign introduction when you called all Mexicans "rapists" -- without you saying or doing something that makes most of the rest of us want to run up a tree. Yes, our cheapskate, misogynist, Nazi sympathizing, white supremacist, Confederate loving, pig's-blood-on-bullets lying, fire and furying, history mauling half-ripe tomato with Nerf hair president sure does like to keep us on our toes, doesn't he. It would be a comfort to believe it is all on purpose, a deliberate tactic that would at least suggest a mind at work -- but it isn't so. That's not a lantern shining in the lighthouse; the spire is actually on fire. This is going to get worse before it gets better. That is the only promise I can confidently make. We shall arise together each morning with "What fresh hell" on our lips to be greeted by whatever new Trumpian abomination slouches toward Bethlehem to be born. Death, taxes and terrible Trump: These are the certainties of life, axiomatic and unavoidable. To quote a football coach, it is what it is. What we are is Truthout, and our sworn duty to the truth in all things has never been more important. Will you take a moment today to help us in this endeavor?
