These changes will make flying more inclusive and comfortable for all travelers. [Astrid Taran]( Senior Special Projects Editor A brand new week is here, and I am currently spending a few days in [San Antonio, Texas](, taking in some truly gorgeous weather and checking out historical sights like the Alamo and Mission San Jose. The city has come alive for its annual Fiesta celebration, which honors those who fought in the Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto. The energy across the city is palpable, with brightly colored floats and booths on every corner and vivid parties, fairs, and parades rolling down the streets each night. It feels great to see so many great traditions returning just in time for spring. Last week, Singapore Airlines relaunched the worldâs second-longest flight, from Newark Liberty International to Singapore Changi. The airline is dedicated to being at the forefront of making long-haul flights comfortable and healthy for all, and just debuted a new wellness menu created with passengersâ needs in mind. I took a trip to Newark to check out the new menu; you can [read that story here](. In other news, the TSA has announced measures to implement [gender-neutral screening at airport checkpoints](. As someone who strongly believes that travel is for all, Iâm excited to hear that airport security is finally going to become more inclusive, and I hope the travel industry as a whole is taking note. Happy reading everyone, and have a great week! [Hereâs What to Expect for Your European River Cruise This Summer]( The sparkling waters of Europeâs rivers are finally summoning voyagers back. Destination of the Day Tangier, Morocco [Tangier]( has long been romanticized by artists, Beat poets, and writers who have arrived at its busy shores seeking adventure. Tangier has also been a gateway connecting Europe and the rest of Africa. Cruise ships often dock at the city on their way from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, and travelers in Europe find it easy to take a short flight or a quick ferry from Spain to the port of Tangier. Although most visitors to Tangier come for a day, the charm of the city is best enjoyed by spending a few days here. Here are some of the top things to do in the city. Explore the Medina Tangier's Medina (Old Walled City) is a lively place and feels like stepping back in time. Its labyrinth of alleyways is where you'll find the souksâmarketplaces of stalls selling spices, tanned leather, food items, metals, and more. Tourist trinkets are plentiful here, and if this is your only stop in Morocco, buy away. Tour the American Legation Museum Morocco was the first nation to recognize American independence, and the U.S. established a diplomatic mission in Tangier in 1821. Now a museum, the [Tangier American Legation]( is located in the southwest corner of the Medina and is worth a look. The museum houses some fascinating art, including works by Eugene Delacroix, Yves Saint Laurent, and James McBey. Marvel at Moroccan Art at the Kasbah The Kasbah is located high on a hill in Tangier with some good views of the ocean. The old Sultan's palace (built in the 17th century) lies within the Kasbah's walls. Known as Dar El Makhzen, it is now a museum that houses fine examples of Moroccan art. Vacation Like a Pro While hospitable and friendly folk abound in Tangier, be careful when you're in a touristy area and you're offered something for "free," because it is rarely free. Whether it's a guided tour, help buying ferry tickets, or directions to your hotel, expect to be asked for payment at the end. [Anouk Zijlma](
Contributing Writer Your Packing List Morocco is a Muslim country and tourists should dress modestly to avoid causing offense. This is especially true for women, who should keep a shawl or scarf in their purse to wear over their hair when entering mosques and other religious sites. Pack [loose-fitting pants](, maxi skirts or dresses, and flowy, long tops that cover your shoulders. Avoid wearing clingy tops or spaghetti straps regardless of the season. Bring a cardigan or extra scarf as nights and early mornings can be chilly. The streets can be uneven and dusty, so be sure to pack close-toed shoes. The cliffs, which face the Strait of Dover and France, reach up to 350 feet tall and are made of chalk, resulting in a striking white gleam. It's worth seeing the cliffs from both above and below, so take a day to go for a long stroll to explore the area fully. Got Any Tips? Have a travel tip or feedback on how we can improve?
