[Trend Trader Daily] I Dare You to Ignore This $7 Trillion Trend Thursday, February 24, 2022 Like it or not, our future will undeniably be electric and autonomous. Heck, I’d even argue that the future is upon us already. After all, most of the technologies we need to navigate our roadways without fossil fuels or full-time drivers already exist. On the electric front, it’s merely a matter of scaling the tech. And on the autonomous front — well, it’s about refining the tech so it’s ready for mass deployment. Why am I bringing this up today? Because once tech adoption becomes imminent, it represents the last big chance to profit from it. And I don’t want you to miss out on a very specific opportunity. I’ll get to the opportunity in a moment… But first, a quick history lesson... > ADVERTISEMENT < [Autonomous-Vehicle Penny Stock to go Vertical?!]( Today could be your LAST CHANCE to get in on [this](. Because one tiny autonomous vehicle "penny stock" could skyrocket as soon as TOMORROW... So if you're looking to stake your claim in the projected $7 TRILLION self-driving car market... [Check out this presentation to get caught up right now »]( A Budding $7 Trillion Trend? “Way” back in 2017, Strategy Analytics and chip giant Intel (INTC) predicted that the self-driving car economy would one day be worth $7 trillion. Keep in mind, there are only a handful of industries that top $1 trillion in annual revenue. So you couldn’t ask for a bigger and bolder call. But Intel didn’t just make a bold prediction. It acted on it! As you’ll recall, in that very same year, the stodgy “Old Tech” company plunked down $15.3 billion to acquire self-driving car technology maker, Mobileye (MBLY). Fast-forward to today and Intel is now planning to spin-out its self-driving car unit via an IPO in the middle of this year. But don’t you dare buy the deal! Why? For one thing, it means waiting for months (or possibly longer) to get positioned in the trend. More importantly, I believe there’s a better self-driving car company to invest in that’s available to buy right away. In fact, I’d argue that it’s holding the patents on the key enabling technology that can unleash the full potential of this $7 trillion. I say that because the company’s latest product solves the major problem holding back mainstream adoption of self-driving cars. Let me explain. Then we can get to the specific opportunity… Learning About LiDAR When it comes to automation in cars, there are 6 distinct phases, or “levels,” the industry is progressing through… From Level 0 Automation (in other words, zero autonomy)... All the way to Level 5 Automation (fully self-driving, with zero human interaction). Here, check it out… (click image to enlarge) Right now, the autonomous vehicle industry is sitting right around L2 or L2+ (with plans for the first L3 launch this year). At current levels, the car’s computer helps with basic functions like speed control, better cruise control, and catastrophic braking. But the goal for all the big players — from Tesla, Inc. (TSLA) to Apple to Alphabet Inc. (GOOG) and all the major car manufacturers — is full automation, or “L5” in the graph above. That’s when the car will drive itself with zero human interaction. And when we hit that level, well…it’s “game on!” for the $7 trillion self-driving industry! But here’s the rub: full automation is not possible without continued and meaningful refinements in LiDAR. I’m convinced a $500 million market cap company that came public last year via a SPAC merger just unveiled an innovation that represents a massive leap forward for LiDAR. Not only does it improve a car's ability to see by 10X – we’re talking about giving it HD resolution vision – but it’s also 70% cheaper than existing LiDAR systems. Even better, it’s small enough that it can be used in non-automotive applications, which represent an additional $20+ billion market opportunity. Production is scaling up now and the company should start generating revenue from this massive innovation in the year ahead, making now the ideal time to invest. Especially since 56 major automotive companies are in late-stage negotiations to deploy the technology and could announce a major deal any day now.
