What to do this week (for less!) | AUGUST 29, 2019 [Travelzoo]( [Go Out NYC: American Cut, US Open, Wine Fests & More]( By Peter Vanden Bos | Source: Travelzoo New York Labor Day's right around the corner, which has us excited for the three-day weekend ahead. Unofficial end of summer? Not so much. But instead of mourning the final few days of the season (in between patty flips on the barbecue), why don't you send it off with a bang? Our Go Out Guide is here to help. If you've somehow gone all summer without a baseball game, here's your chance to fix that. The Yankees take on the A's tomorrow night and Sunday; on Monday they'll face off against the Rangers -- we've got [tickets from $11](. And it's your last chance to see some of tennis's greats in action and [score discounted seats to the US Open]( where 12 former champions are in the field this year. Catch sessions tonight and tomorrow or the quarterfinals on Tuesday at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. We're not doubting your skills on the barbecue, but we have a feeling our [three-course dinner at American Cut Steakhouse]( -- with celeb chef Marc Forgione at the helm -- might give your burgers and brats a run for the money for an epic end-of-summer meal. Zagat says the "regal chops melt like butter." Or plan one more park day but let Pappardella take care of the planning for you -- they'll pack up a [four-course picnic for two]( with paninis, antipasto, salty caramel cookies and even a tablecloth and utensils. All you have to do is find the perfect spot to soak up a few rays. There'll be plenty of sunshine (and maybe a few splashes too) on the BEAST, one of ["the best boat rides in NYC"]( (Time Out). The speedboats only race across New York Harbor for a few more weeks, and we think it's a pretty epic way to play tourist for the day and take in the sights and skyline from a new vantage point. Prefer to remain on dry land, perhaps with a drink in hand? Check out the [Manhattan Wine Fest]( next month or the Brooklyn Wine Fest later in fall -- both will have more than 30 wineries on hand to pass out unlimited samples plus live music. Fall also means back to school, but even if you've long graduated, we've got an opportunity for you to get back in the classroom with leading professors from campuses around the country. [One Day University]( heads to Fordham next month, and you can hear lectures on China's rise (from Stephen Kotkin of Princeton) and the 2020 presidential election (from Wendy Schiller of Brown) with our half-day seminar. Or expand your mind in another way: Renowned illusionist Derren Brown heads to Broadway this fall for a "thrilling spectacle of psychological magic" (Entertainment Weekly) in "Derren Brown: Secret." Now's your chance to [grab discounted tickets](. Our full list of options is [here]( and don't forget to check back next week for more reasons to Go Out NYC.
