Five of those winners were from the same Christmas Advent competition where Premier Suites were giving 2-night stays in a variety of different cities to 12 winners in total. Here are the Facebook group winners and the city stays they won: Elizabeth - Rotterdam; Michelle - Amsterdam; Stephen - Liverpool; Sharon - Dublin; and Chantal- Glasgow. Helen was announced as the winner of the Gaydio competition we featured in last week’s email: “… I’ve just won my first competition… a stay at the Plaza Hotel in London, 6x Bottles of Champagne and £500 gift vouchers for dining at Café Nucleus in Kent. I can’t believe it, what a Christmas present.” Angela let us know that she won the Planet Rock and Trooper Beer trip for 2 to Las Vegas to see Iron Maiden in concert that we featured in the Sunday comp email 3 weeks ago. Angela's full prize includes: flights, a 2-night hotel stay, Premium seats to see Iron Maiden on their Future Past tour, Trooper VIP pre-show party tickets & a Trooper swag bag. Very envious about this one… Maxine won the Lore Hotel Group and British Airways competition that we featured in the weekly comps email 4 weeks ago. It’s a 7-night trip to London, Washington, DC and Amsterdam with luxury half-board stays, all flights, Concorde Lounge access at Heathrow, and cocktails at bars in each city, including a meeting with master mixologist Mr Lyan: “… thank you so much. After a year of entering I finally got my first win... London, Washington DC and Amsterdam over 7 days, all travel included. Feeling blessed.” Karen was delighted to win a trip to Leipzig: “I've just won the Travelzoo Competition! 2 nights b&b in Leipzig, Germany with flights. So excited. Haven't had a good win for years… So thank you everyone who posts." Niki won a stay in Aviemore: “A huge thank you to everyone who posts competitions on here because I’ve finally had a win!!! ... a 2 night stay at the Boat Country Inn near Aviemore. Hooray!! … PS: it's taken a verrrrry long time to win something so don't give up!” Sophie was the lucky winner of a 7-night stay in Villa Casa Roo in Galicia: “I’ve won a week in this beautiful Spanish villa! … It’s my first win!” Gemma won a lovely set of suitcases with Fabulous Magazine. One thing we love about the comping community is the abundance of positivity and kindness, which was proven again this week by Amanda who won a pair of tickets to the Christmas Cinema Skate at Nottingham Ice Arena in Visit Nottinghamshire’s 12 Days of Christmas competition. She couldn’t go so she gifted it to Sophie, another group member who lives near Nottingham and who could make it. And finally, “extra-lucky Dan” has been at it again - in the last couple of weeks he’s got his 15th, 16th and 17th wins since joining our Facebook group… “I thought I'd rubbed all my luck off onto my wife… as she won a competition that I'd tagged her in on Instagram (a 2 night beach hut stay in Bognor Regis with Weekend Candy). However, I managed to win a couple of competitions in the last 2 weeks. First was a stay & breakfast in a hotel in Copenhagen with a robe, slippers, sleep mask and toiletries. Second one, I'm just waiting on confirmation on where it can be enjoyed but it was a 2 night stay at a Pentahotel with breakfast and 50€ spend on food and drinks! I had to say where I'd choose in the (competition) post but not yet sure if that's where I have to take the prize. Keep on comping!” Congratulations to Elizabeth, Michelle, Stephen, Sharon, Chantal, Helen, Angela, Maxine, Karen, Niki, Sophie, Gemma, Amanda and extra-lucky Dan! We think it's important that we're transparent about the value our service can bring you, but also the limitations of this email and our website. We're journalistic at heart, with the aim of helping you to save on travelling and holidays. We do this by seeking out great travel and holiday deals, tips and competitions. We do not offer any travel products or services ourselves - we signpost you to those that do via links. While we are careful to always cover reputable companies that are ABTA bonded, we're not perfect, so remember that you use this information at your own risk and we can't accept liability if things go wrong. So if we don't offer any travel products ourselves, how do we sustain the service? Many of our links are affiliated which means that if you purchase a product or service via these links, a small contribution may be made to Travelscoop. You shouldn't notice any difference, as these links don't impact the products at all. If we're unable to get a contribution from a company, we'll still include the link anyway - it's important to us that we cover the whole market. Lastly, do not construe the information contained in this email and on our website as financial advice. Always do your own research to ensure a product or service is right for you and your individual circumstances. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
