Davina discovered she was the winner of a Travelbag competition thanks to another group member who recognised her name in a winners’ announcement video online. She’ll be enjoying a 7-night all-inclusive stay for two at St James’s Club Resort in St Lucia’s Morgan Bay, as well as return flights with Virgin Atlantic. Davina was understandably ecstatic and responded to the post with “yes it’s me!!! I’m thrilled!” Jan won a 15-night cruise to the Canary Islands, Madeira and Morocco on Ambassador Cruise Line’s Ambience ship, departing from Tilbury at the end of November. The prize was won through a Silver Travel Advisor competition and Jan cannot wait: “So excited!” Elaine won a 4-day break for 4 with private hot tub and countryside views at Foxglove Retreat in Northumberland, worth £595. She said: “Thank you whoever posted the 4 day break at Foxglove Retreat. I've won.” Travel competition prizes can come in a variety of forms, as proven by Jade who was runner-up in a Blue Bay Travel comp and received a £50 shopping voucher. As for prize updates, Bev updated us on her recent win: “Just redeemed our prize of dinner and an overnight stay at the Rose Revived in Oxfordshire. A big Thank You to whoever posted it here. We spent a lovely day in Oxford, followed by a very tasty evening meal and a comfortable night in a room with views of the river just outside.” And, finally, Debbie got in touch from Montenegro where she’s currently enjoying her prize stay: “I am lucky enough to be in (Becici) Montenegro at the moment, after winning a £500 EasyJet Holidays Voucher. We added some nice extras like a sea view & private taxi transfers, but it still cost us less than £200 each for a week all inclusive (at least that way we knew spending money was taken care of too!) It's really pretty, and still warm at 24c. Wishing everyone lots of luck with some wins x” We love receiving updates and pictures from winners! If you'd like to join them, the best advice is to enter as many competitions as you can. We think it's important that we're transparent about the value our service can bring you, but also the limitations of this email and our website. We're journalistic at heart, with the aim of helping you to save on travelling and holidays. We do this by seeking out great travel and holiday deals, tips and competitions. We do not offer any travel products or services ourselves - we signpost you to those that do via links. While we are careful to always cover reputable companies that are ABTA bonded, we're not perfect, so remember that you use this information at your own risk and we can't accept liability if things go wrong. So if we don't offer any travel products ourselves, how do we sustain the service? Many of our links are affiliated which means that if you purchase a product or service via these links, a small contribution may be made to Travelscoop. You shouldn't notice any difference, as these links don't impact the products at all. If we're unable to get a contribution from a company, we'll still include the link anyway - it's important to us that we cover the whole market. Lastly, do not construe the information contained in this email and on our website as financial advice. Always do your own research to ensure a product or service is right for you and your individual circumstances. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
