This week I’m leading with an interesting piece on “heritage tourism,” but perhaps not the kind of heritage tourism you might be thinking about. Curious if you’re related to Genghis Khan? That is the sort of heritage the story considers. I know I promised last week that Couchfish would be back this week, and I’m soooo close, but not quite there. If I get all my ducks in a row, it should be back later this week—worst case, next Monday. Again, my apologies. In the meantime that particular ordeal does give me the theme for the week—stop start. What is travel but a continual cycle of stop and start? You might be stopped in god-awful traffic, or, once started you might be cruising across a strait between two beautiful islands. It’s a forever rotation, and often the biggest question of all for the traveller is when to change a start into a stop and visa-versa. More stops I say—just not of the traffic-enforced variety.
