Hello, At TransferWise, we take the trust our customers place in us seriously. As part of this, we check for lists of email addresses and passwords that have been posted online. They usually get there because they’ve been stolen during security breaches on other sites and services. During a recent check, we found your login details on one of those lists It’s important to note that your TransferWise account hasn’t been hacked. But we know that lots of customers re-use their email addresses and passwords on multiple websites. So to keep your account secure, we’ve reset your TransferWise password. We’re being overly-cautious — but we’d prefer to keep you extra safe in situations like this. Please reset your TransferWise password You’ll need to choose a new password the next time you log in to TransferWise. To do this, choose ‘Forgot password’ and enter your email address. Then, choose ‘Send password reset link’ if you’re using the web, or ‘Reset password’ if you’re using the TransferWise app. You’ll get an email from TransferWise with a link to reset to your password. Click the link, enter a new password, and finish by logging back into your account using that new password. To make your account extra secure, set up 2-step login To add an extra layer of security to your account, you can also set up TransferWise’s 2-step login. As well as entering your password, you’ll need to enter a unique security code that’s sent to a personal device (like a phone or tablet), every time you log in. This makes it even harder for someone who’s not you to access your account. To learn more about 2-step login, visit the ‘Settings’ tab in your TransferWise profile. Then, choose ‘2-step login’ and follow the instructions. Thanks, The TransferWise Team Got questions? [Read our FAQs](. Need to get in touch? [Reply to this email](mailto:support@transferwise.com).
