That could include the three largest economic regions of the world, the US, the EU, and China. The IMF has lowered is global growth forecast from 3.2 percent to 2.7 percent. • [More Companies Return to Office]( An increasing number of companies are pushing their staff to return to the office. That can include hybrid work, with employees expected to go in for a few days per week. A few companies are looking at ending remote work entirely, with employees potentially facing termination for not coming in. • [Oil Slides on Global Slowdown Fears]( After rising about 10 percent in 2022, oil prices have started to slide in the new year. The big reason is a slowing economy in China, where the bulk of new energy demand has come from in recent years. Developed countries could also see lower demand this year, which may weigh on prices further. • [Gold Hits Six-Month High]( Gold prices have been trending higher since November, and have started the new year ticking to a six-month high. The move has come amid continued market volatility and rising recession expectations, as well as reports of massive central bank buying of the metal. However, declining inflation could dampen predictions for the metal to hit new all-time highs this year. • [Tesla Misses Expectations on Deliverables]( Tesla Motors (TSLA) delivered 405,278 vehicles in the final quarter of 2022. That was a record number of the automaker, but it came in below expectations for 420,000 to 425,000. In total, the company produced 1.37 million EVs last year, and delivered 1.31 million, with a 40 percent increase in deliveries over the prior year.
