Good morning. 71. That’s the number of days this year that the S&P 500 hit an all-time high... It’s the monthly jobs numbers today and they’re not going to be pretty and will be possibly the tip of the iceberg as we head into May. [Trading Tips] Good morning. 71. That’s the number of days this year that the S&P 500 hit an all-time high (with one partial day left). It’s a record number of days going back to 1995, and a sign that, despite the market fears on a day-to-day basis, the market is likely in rally mode for some time to come. Today’s TOP TIPS [This Retail Dominator Will Continue to Lead In 2022]( Retail stocks tend to get a bad rap. It’s easy to see why. Profit margins tend to be low, growth can be slow, and supply chain issues over the past year have led to one shortage after another. But some companies have a great reputation, a moderate profit margin, and are able to consistently raise their income year over year. Any retailer that can do so indefinitely is a great one to own for the long haul. » [FULL STORY]( [Insider Trading Report: Enterprise Products Partners LP (EPD)]( Carin Barth, a director at Enterprise Products Partners LP (EPD), recently picked up 5,000 shares. At least this year, there was no reason for panic, and wealth preservers grew assets faster than the rate of inflation because the Fed flooded the market. I don’t know many people in a wealth preservation phase who did not outperform inflation this year. - Michael Sonnenfeldt, founder and chairman of Tiger 21, on how wealthy investors earned enough from share appreciation and income to not be hit by the effects of inflation this year, a trend that may not continue into 2022.
