Good morning. There’s still seven weeks left in the year, but that hasn’t stopped Wall Street... It’s the monthly jobs numbers today and they’re not going to be pretty and will be possibly the tip of the iceberg as we head into May. [Trading Tips] Good morning. There’s still seven weeks left in the year, but that hasn’t stopped Wall Street from dropping its predictions about 2022. The key messages so far? Things will be mixed. Goldman Sachs (GS) sees unemployment numbers heading back to a pre-pandemic 50-year low by the end of 2022. And some see further economic growth provided that supply chain issues become resolved, even as initial views are that the supply chain would be back and running by the end of the summer. Many also see inflation rates moving lower, while some see another inflationary burst from government spending such as the latest infrastructure bill. All these early predictions point to a few possible scenarios for future growth, with just a few continued risks mixed in. The most likely outcome for the time being is volatile markets until the picture becomes clearer either way. Now here's the rest of the news: Sponsored Content [Red Indicator flashing = SELL]( As runaway government spending and the pandemic recovery overheats the global economy, investors could be in for what famed investor Michael Burry is calling the "mother of all crashes." Today’s TOP TIPS [This e-Commerce Play Offers Excellent Reward for the Risk]( E-commerce continues to grow as a trend, with more customers making more purchases online globally. While that trend may look played out, companies are still posting record numbers. Alibaba (BABA) just reported an 8.5 percent increase in sales for its Singles Day holiday. The downside? Growth came in at a reported a 26 percent increase from 2019 to 2020 thanks to the pandemic. While that trend is slowing, it’s still a worthwhile one, especially given how shares have performed recently. » [FULL STORY]( [Insider Trading Report: Cheesecake Factory (CAKE)]( Edie Ames, a director at Cheesecake Factory (CAKE) recently added 1,650 shares. The buy increased her stake by 25.6 percent, and came to a total purchase price of just under $75,000. This is the second buy from the same director this year, following a 500 share buy back in August. Otherwise, insiders have largely been sellers over the past year, with company executives selling off shares. » [FULL STORY]( [Unusual Options Activity: Aurora Cannabis (ACB)]( Shares of pot producer Aurora Cannabis (ACB) have been trending higher in the past few weeks, thanks to strong earnings in the sector. One trader sees shares moving even higher in the coming weeks. That’s based on the December 3 $9.00 calls. Over 26,340 contracts traded against an open interest of 199, for a 221-fold jump in volume. The trade has 17 days left to play out. The buyer of the calls paid $0.70 to make the trade. » [FULL STORY]( IN OTHER NEWS • [Biden Signs Infrastructure Bill]( After months of haggling, a $1+ trillion infrastructure bill has been signed by President Biden on Monday. Other major provisions include upgrading freight and rail, as well as public transit systems. • [IRS Adjusts Deductions and Brackets]( The Internal Revenue Services has updated its standard deductions and tax bracket data for those getting ready to file taxes for 2021. The adjustments are being made as inflation has hit a 30-year high, and these adjustments to deductions and brackets are designed to somewhat offset this rise. • [California Gas Taxes Hit Record High]( Gasoline prices in California hit record prices for two days in a row, according to the AAA. The price averaged $4.682 per gallon, beating out a record last set in October 2012. The state is reporting a supply crunch as rainfall in Northern California has hit production capacity, but prices are far higher than the national average of $3.41. • [Labor Shortages Hit Meat Production]( Tyson Foods (TSN) is cutting production volumes due to a labor shortage. For the three months ending in September, the company saw a total decline of 15 percent in beef production and an 18 percent drop in pork production. The company cites worker shortages driving the drop in production, but it may help keep meat prices higher for longer. • [Zoomo Raises $60 Million in Series B Funding]( Australian-based startup Zoomo has raised $60 million in Series B funding.
