The CBOE VIX (VXX) traded within a modest range on Monday, as plunging tech shares weighed on the S&P 500.  The Chicago Board Options Exchange Volatility Index, commonly known as the VIX, reached an intraday high low of 28.39 on a scale of 1-100, where 20 represents the historical average.
