Yes, both the US and China are experiencing an expected late-pandemic slowdown, with the US's growth rate dropping 2.5%… However, the US unemployment rate has remained at a historic low of just 3.6%. - rock steady. And the bearish stock market of the last 12 months is fantastic news for Forex traders because currency moves thrive in downturns. So, while we will want to keep an eye on that unemployment rate, and on the price of a barrel of crude oil… In my opinion, saying stagflation right now is like shouting fire in a crowded theater. The run-up in commodity prices, though painful, pales alongside what happened almost five decades ago.
