I am going to share one example of the power of private equity deals. Arbor acquired Great Kitchens in 2004 with an annual EBITDA of about $3 million. It was a small business, right? Just six years later, its EBITDA soared to $27 million (or 9 times higher) when Arbor exited the investment in 2010. - “We basically took a company from probably $50 million in revenue to $300 million in a span of five years,” said Carl S. Allegretti, president of Arbor Investments. That’s right… The company jumped from $50 million to $300 million in revenue within five years. And we are not talking about a technology company. It is a boring food distributor. What it does is partner with restaurants to create private-label pizzas. For example, a pizza restaurant may want to create a new recipe, so it could partner with Great Kitchens to develop a new flavor. Here’s the point: You typically need to overpay technology companies to experience growth like this in the stock market. However, it is almost routine in the private equity world – for those firms that know what they are doing. Would you like to own a piece of private equity action? Then attend my special presentation starting this Saturday at 10am PT to learn how you can own shares in private companies as soon as this week.
