He was bearish in 2022, but he was caught red-handed in the recent rally in tech stocks. But now, he is back in the spotlight. He said that the Federal Reserve is “almost guaranteed to be wrong” about its forecast to avoid a recession. As a result, he believes the economy could see a recession soon and stocks are due for a pullback Is he right? Nobody knows. Everybody was projecting a recession in early 2023, but the GDP is projected to grow by 4% in the current quarter. That’s from a recession, right? That’s why it is so difficult to make economic forecasts. It is almost certain to be wrong. Hence the reason why we teach our members to follow the price action. The reason is simple – the markets will give some hints on where they might be going. Let’s say that the S&P 500 just broke through a resistance line. That’s a bullish signal, and a trader could follow that signal to buy call options – even if everybody was predicting a recession. Or if it breached its support line, that’s a bearish signal.
