Y-E-S, says Kirk Materne, an analyst with Evercore ISI. Based on his analysis, Microsoft’s new AI products for GitHub and Copilots for Office apps could translate into as much as $48 billion in extra annual revenue within the next four years Read the last three words again. He believes AI could be worth 3x Netflix-sized revenue to Microsoft within the next four years! Kirk Materne, an analyst with Evercore (Photo: CNBC) It is no wonder that Microsoft has already invested $13 billion in OpenAI since 2019. Here’s the most important thing to remember: There’s no time to wait. Big Tech companies are moving at a lightning-fast pace to capture the AI market as quickly as they can. Then it will become too late. - “A race starts today,” Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said. “We’re going to move, and move fast.” However, there’s one thing that’s keeping people from moving fast to capture future lucrative gains from the development of artificial intelligence… Fear. The fear of AI: Believe it or not, Yale hosted an invitation-only CEO summit this week. The event surveyed CEOs about AI, and 42% of them said they believed AI has the potential to destroy humanity within the next five to 10 years. Respondents were big-time CEOs that included Walmart CEO Doug McMillion, Coca-Cola CEO James Quincy, and the leaders of businesses in industries from IT and pharmaceuticals to media and manufacturing. Here’s why fear is overblown: Yann LeCun (and two other people) were known as the “godfathers of A.I.” after they won the prestigious $1 million Turing Award in 2018 for their pioneering work in AI. He now works as the chief AI scientist at Meta. He pointed out that new technologies often look unsafe in the beginning. Take turbojets as an example. Can you imagine people’s original reaction to the idea of a big plane carrying dozens of people without seeing it happen before? - “It’s as if you asked in 1930 ‘how are you going to make a turbo-jet safe?’” he explained. “Turbojets were not invented yet in 1930, same as human level A.I. has not been invented yet. Turbojets were eventually made incredibly reliable and safe,” said LeCun. The same thing is going to happen with AI. As a result, it will keep learning what works and what doesn’t work. Could it theoretically grow to become infinitely better than investing legends like Warren Buffett? Perhaps so. Armed with a powerful knowledge of investing, the AI system would then generate investment strategies and recommendations suitable for retail investors. This technology could transform the way retail investors trade forever. We’re inviting you to join the revolution and become a Pre-IPO investor in TradeAlgo before we complete building the AI platform for retail investors. The spots are limited, and we expect them to get filled up fast.
