Hi {NAME}! I know it’s Sunday and this should be Rest Day. It is, but I’d like to share some tips so you can start your week right. This is really helpful if you’ve been wanting to be productive… Especially when you start excited thinking you’d be able to finish all your work early… Yet you seem to always get off-track and start procrastinating midway. I hope these simple "hacks" help you have a productive week ahead. First, plan your To-do’s for the coming week. Now, if you still don’t have an idea about the specifics of your upcoming tasks, that’s fine. Second, start writing a list of the tasks you already know, and allot a few items for those sudden tasks that might arise. Third, rank them based on priority, urgency, and deadline, with the most impotant at the top and the least at the bottom. If you can even estimate the time it’d take for you to finish each one, the better. But you have to note that this NOT is a fixed schedule. It’s only a guide to lessen the time for your to think about what to do first. Doing this gives you a clear view of the things you have to focus on and finish in the coming week, and minimizes the avenue for distractions. You’ll also realize where you spend most of your time per day. And if doom scrolling or any other chore you can do to keep on procrastinating makes up most of your day… Better re-evaluate what you’re doing. What’s pursuing freelancing/copywriting really for? Your actions must be aligned with your goals if you want to achieve them faster. That’s why whenever I come across posts of people ranting how hard it is for them to pursue freelancing or copywriting because they don’t have time, Yet they have the time write and post about it, I just mentally shrug. HAHA! It’s not a matter of whether you have time or not, But a matter of "making time" for such things especilly if you belive it’s the path that’d lead you to where you really want to be. However, there’s something else you have to keep in mind. You see, writing a To-do list or even your goals have different effects on people. Some would feel relieved because they’ve organized what they have to do even before they do them, resulting in not having to deal with the confusion of what to do first. But at the same time to others, having a To-do list might cause anxiety and lead to proscrastination because they’re overwhelmed by it. To prevent this from happening, it’s important to set realistic deadlines to each of the task you wrote. Then, there’s also people who write To-do lists or their goals with excitement, already looking forward to their future, Yet along the way, they just forget all about it or forget to take action altogether. This is because the act of writing them signals the brain some form of satisfaction which could somehow seem like they’ve already accomplished everything they wrote. It takes discipline and determination to complete the tasks needed to achieve your goals. Without these, all your efforts would be for nothing which then would lead to frustration, thinking you are not cut out for it, But the reality is, all you do is wish for things to magically happen to you without doing the required work to make them a reality. Kaya {NAME}, whether it’s for the upcoming tasks or for your goals, Always start planning ahead, and adjust along the way. Rank and do them based on priority, urgency, and deadline. This minimizes overwhelm and anxiety which could lead to proscrastination because you already have an overview of the things you’re required to finish in the coming week. Now, I wanna ask you. Do you or have you done this? Did it work for you? Let me know by replying to this email. I’d also appreciate it if you could share how you plan your week, or if you don’t plan… How do you get by throughout the week?
