Hi {NAME}! Before I answer your questions again, Let’s talk about this age-old matketing advice

Hi {NAME}! Before I answer your questions again, Let’s talk about this age-old matketing advice. To be honest, I don’t remember where I got that or who to quote exactly. If you do, please let me know para ma-share ko ung sino sa next email. 😅 Anyway, I wanted to highlight this in relation to my previous emails, including the email yesterday… If you haven’t read it or you already have but need some recalling… [>> Access yesterday’s email here]( But as an overview, when writing your copy… Your goal as a copywriter is to write it as clear and concise as possible… However… When you’re still in the process of learning about copywriting… Sometimes, there are cases where you’d get so immersed in writing to the point that your personal opinions start to take the most space in the copy. Which is a BIG NO. It’s fine for a first draft because there might be keypoints you could keep and share to your audience. BUT make sure to cut all the unnecessary details and… STICK WITH ONE CORE IDEA What’s the purpose of the email you’re sending? What’s the main message you’d like for your audience to take away? Aim to trim your copy to its simplest form… BUT make sure everything your readers have to know is there and explained clearly. Kasi nga… "A confused mind never buys." If you still don’t get it, let’s put it this way… Do you have a friend or family member na dahil excited at sa sobrang daming gustong ikwento… Hindi pa tapos ‘yung unang kwento, ishe-share na agad niya ‘yung pangalawa kasi bigla niyang naalala? ‘Tapos may 3rd topic pa, then balik sa 1st, pero naalala naman ‘yung 4th kwento, ay hindi pa pala tapos ikwento ‘yung 2nd, pero unahin muna pala ‘yung 3rd tapusin para mas may context ‘yung 2nd, and so on… ‘Di ba ang gulo? HAHAHAHA. That’s exactly what you don’t want your audience to experience. You’d just leave them confused and frustrated. Worse, they’d completely lose interest in what you have to say. Another thing why you should have only one core idea in your copy is because human attention span is the shortest it’s ever been… one second even shorter than a goldfish’s! Kung dati, insult ‘yung masabihan ng "parang goldfish ang attention span"… Ngayon, goldfish na ang maiinsulto. 😂 That’s why always aim to use the simplest words… ‘Yung tipong even a grade schooler would understand. Why? Because there’s almost no barrier left that could make them stop reading… Kasi diretso na agad nilang maiintindihan with less to no effort in processing the information you give them. And if they fully resonate with your message or one core idea… It’s gonna be a no-brainer for them already… They’re gonna buy your offer. {NAME}, just to be clear… Everything I said seems pretty easy to do… But the reality is, it’s hard to execute. That’s why I strongly advice newbies to keep learning about copywriting… And of course, take action by writing copy even if you don’t have a client yet.
