The easiest path to becoming a high-income freelance copywriter ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ?

The easiest path to becoming a high-income freelance copywriter ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌   These past few weeks, I’ve shown you how COPYWRITING changed the course of my life forever. And a lot of aspiring copywriters, newbies, and even those already with experience who were inspired by my story have been asking me: "Darwin, what’s the easiest form of copy to write so I can start with (or shift to) that?" And my answer has always been the same… But before I go into detail, let me clarify that… It’s EASY to write ANY FORM OF COPY. What’s not so easy is making sure it’s PERSUASIVE. How do you compel them to take action? How do you write it so that it resonates with your readers? How do you make them buy? How do you make them believe in themselves? And a lot more. Now, it'd be almost impossible for me to answer all of these IN DETAIL inside one email. So… let me go back to the original question... "Darwin, what’s the easiest form of copy to write so I can start with (or shift to) that?" For me… and I admit I’m being biased here… It’s EMAILS. I’m being biased because they’re my favorite and I specialize with writing launch emails for online course creators and coaches. (Those who’ve been following me since 2020 already know this. HAHA!) Now, why do I find writing emails EASY? I can enumerate a number of reasons but here are on the top of my mind right now: 1. It’s not that long compared to sales letters. Sales letters normally take time to write. You’d usually need massive research (as in 👀) to make sure you’re able to answer all the objections of your target market. They’re lengthy too. I’ve written sales pages of up to 40 pages long. I’ve seen some that had 70 pages. (Ang habaaaaaa!) There’s really no standard here because one of the most successful sales letters ever written only had 2 pages (The Wall Street Journal). Because of the length, sales letters are tested out longer than emails. Meaning, you’d need several weeks to a few months just to see how it performs. Most people won’t read it in one go kasi. Babalik-balikan pa nila ‘yan before they finally hit the buy button. And since it’s a lot longer than emails, sales letters are more difficult to revise. (Imagine ‘yung sakit ng ulo mo ‘kung ulit ka from scratch. 🥲😅😭) With emails, you can easily write another one and send it the next day if the previous one didn’t generate results. It IS that forgiving. ***Most newbie copywriters drool over sales letter projects kasi mataas ‘yung bayad normally. Kasi nga mahirap gawin. What they don’t know is that mas malaki na ‘yung total na kinikita ko from writing emails for my clients kesa sa sales letter projects ko. 😳🤫🤐 2. Unlike Facebook ads that have a lot of policies… you can get away with almost anything in emails. ‘Yung mga nakikita mong "Sponsored Posts" sa Facebook? Copywriters din gumagawa nun. 😁 Maikli lang ‘no? Madali lang "dapat" gawin. Kaso kasi… If you’re not careful, Facebook could ban or disable your or your client’s ad accounts. (This happens a lot when you don’t have enough experience. Hindi mo kasi pwede sabihin lahat ng gusto mong sabihin sa Facebook ad copy mo.) If (or when) that happens, you or your client would lost tons of potential sales. (Imagine mo ‘yung mukha ni client kung nachambahan ka. HAHA!) How about sa emails? The worst thing that could happen to you is your emails landing in the Promotions Tab. (I’m not aware of any of my emails landing in the Spam Folder.) No potential sales lost kasi binabasa pa din naman ng tao kahit nasa Promotions Tab eh. 😁 3. Emails build personal relationships between you and your readers. Now, this is my favorite part. Do you remember the saying that… "People do business with people they know, like, and trust." Well, it’s true nowadays and because of all the noise in the digital space right now, especially in social media… Directing their desire to your product or saying that this product will solve this or that won’t be enough to make the sale most of the time. If there’s someone (who they know, like, and trust) is selling the same thing … they’d buy from them and won’t look at the other products. It’s actually easy to do this with EMAILS. You just have to write like you’re writing to a friend. Super chill. Genuine. Conversational. (Kita mo naman how I write my emails, ‘di ba? 😁😆😂) Of course you’ll still need to gather data about them. Otherwise your content might be something they don’t want and they’ll just unsubscribe. But if you do it right, they’ll reply to your emails like this one na may realizations daw s’ya: Or like this one na ang sarap daw basahin ng emails ko and sana sa’kin na lang daw s’ya nag-enroll ng copywriting. HAHA! Or this one who’s looking forward to my stories and "would definitely want to be in my class": There’s more where that came from but you already get my point ;) Now, the best thing with emails is that you can reply back and build stronger relationships with your most engaged subscribers. And by the time you present your offer to them, you won’t even need much persuasion powers because you’ve already built rapport. Now, my question is… ...would you like to learn how to write emails that make people buy your stuff? If you’re answer is: "YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!" Then post this on your Facebook Profile.
