A prayer in the midst of hopelessness and depression. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ â€

A prayer in the midst of hopelessness and depression. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌   I’m supposed to talk about my upcoming FREE Webinar in this email but then I remembered my devotion last night. (*Devotion is reading the Bible and meditating on God’s message every day.) I’m not sure what your beliefs are but let me share this with you kasi sobrang ganda and ironic kasi at the same time. Romans ‘yung binabasa ko ngayon. Chapter 7 na dapat. But for some reason, Psalm 143 ‘yung pinabasa sa’kin. It’s David’s prayer in the midst of hopelessness and depression. It says: 1 Lord, hear my prayer,     listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness     come to my relief. 2 Do not bring your servant into judgment,     for no one living is righteous before you. 3 The enemy pursues me,     he crushes me to the ground; he makes me dwell in the darkness     like those long dead. 4 So my spirit grows faint within me;     my heart within me is dismayed. 5 I remember the days of long ago;     I meditate on all your works     and consider what your hands have done. 6 I spread out my hands to you;     I thirst for you like a parched land.[a] 7 Answer me quickly, Lord;     my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me     or I will be like those who go down to the pit. 8 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,     for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go,     for to you I entrust my life. 9 Rescue me from my enemies, Lord,     for I hide myself in you. 10 Teach me to do your will,     for you are my God; may your good Spirit     lead me on level ground. 11 For your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life;     in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble. 12 In your unfailing love, silence my enemies;     destroy all my foes,     for I am your servant. Now, I’m not sure what you’re going through right now but I hope that helped. And in case you didn’t notice… The ironic thing here is the fact that the psalm is about hopelessness and depression and yet it’s the 143rd psalm. 143 "I love you" It’s like, even while we’re down, lonely, depressed, and hopeless… God’s still saying: "I’m here. I’m not turning my face from you. I love you." Ayun. I’m not saying na ‘yun talaga ‘yung connection n’ya d’yan or what kasi in the first place, the Bible was not written in English naman talaga. I’m just saying that if you look closely and listen carefully, you’ll see His works and you’ll hear His voice. Mahirap s’ya gawin to be honest. You just have to take His word for it when he said in Jeremiah 29:13 – You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Have a good night, {NAME}. Mark Darwin Balaswit P.S.
