# {NAME}, Happy Independence Day! Today, we celebrate our country’s independence and the fundamental freedoms we cherish. It’s a time to reflect on the vision our founders had when they built this nation and to appreciate the freedoms we enjoy today. As we honor this day, we remember Wisconsin’s important role in American history. Our state has long been a beacon of progressive values and democratic ideals. From fighting for workers’ rights to pushing for social justice, Wisconsinites have always stood up for what is right. While we celebrate today, we cannot forget that in just four months, voters across the country will again decide the future of American democracy. Protecting our democracy must always be our top priority. Our nation and state face a choice between electing officials that will build an inclusive, equal America or ones who’s ideologies threaten our fundamental freedoms. If we allow extremists to take control, it could usher in a dark era of right-wing authoritarianism. We must stand strong and keep our state and nation on the right path. As we celebrate today, let’s remember the people who have shaped our nation and acknowledge that we are still working everyday to form a more perfect union. Let’s build on the progress we’ve made and continue the fight, ensuring that every American is protected by our democracy. I hope you and your family have a safe and happy 4th of July!
