Russell returned home 49 hours after making that 911 call on July 13, and her parents later [told TODAY they believed her abductor](was still out there. However, on Monday Russell said in a statement through her attorney, "There was no kidnapping." The Hoover Police Department is now [considering criminal charges]( against her, its police chief said. Russell's attorney said she acted alone and didn't have help.
