The video opens with a scene from the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol and images of an abortion rights protest. "When I ran for president four years ago, I said we are in a battle for the soul of America. And we still are. The question we are facing is whether in the years ahead we have more freedom or less freedom," Biden says in the video. Biden, 80, is the oldest president in U.S. history and would be 86 at the end of a second term if he is reelected. Biden faces a Republican field that includes former President Donald Trump, whom Biden defeated in 2020, as the front-runner. [Here's the latest](. The network announced the stunning news after it agreed to pay nearly $800 million to settle a lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems to avoid a defamation trial. Fox News announced that Carlson's last program was on April 21, saying it has ["agreed to part ways" with the host](, without specifying any reason. Less than an hour later, Lemon announced that he was "stunned" to learn [he was fired by CNN]( after 17 years at the network. The news came after Variety [published a story]( earlier this month about allegations that Lemon mistreated his female colleagues over the course of his career at CNN.
