Authorities said the 43-year-old suspected shooter is dead and was unaffiliated with the university. The suspect opened fire at two locations across the East Lansing campus and fled the scene, leading to a manhunt. Officers later found the suspect dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Chris Rozman, interim deputy chief of the Michigan State University Police, [described the suspect]( as a 43-year-old man with no affiliation with the university.
