We built a campaign to be proud of. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ [Desiree Tims for Congress]( Friend, The results are in, and sadly, we did not get the outcome we hoped for. Throughout this campaign, I have had the opportunity to meet so many incredible people across the Miami Valley. You are truly inspiring. Thank you. Thank you to everyone who voted, who volunteered and who chipped in to power this grassroots campaign. Thank you to my family and my incredible campaign team. Yesterday, I spoke to Congressman Turner and congratulated him on winning re-election. I know this is not the outcome we hoped for - that we worked so hard for. But I am so proud of the race we ran. And we never would have made it this far without you. Together, we showed Ohio and the country that this Congressional seat is competitive, and that the granddaughter of a sharecropper, a working-class woman from the West Side of Dayton, can run a powerful, professional congressional campaign. To every woman, young person, black person, black woman or anyone who’s been told to wait your turn, please know that anytime you want to fight for your community, and your community needs you to fight for them, it is your turn. And our fight is far from over. This campaign was never just about me. It’s always been about you. And together, we will keep fighting for good-paying jobs, for healthcare and for commonsense laws to keep our communities safe from gun violence. Thank you for all that you’ve done and all the work we will continue to do together. Desiree Tims Desiree Tims was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. She is committed to finding strong solutions to address gun violence, provide affordable health care and child care, and combat climate change. She is running against GOP Congressman Mike Turner to bring needed change to Ohio’s 10th District. [LEARN MORE]( Paid for by Friends of Desiree Tims.
