Sponsored Advertisement Dear Brothers and Sisters, You might have forgotten. Not because you don’t care. But because you are human. And you get busy. Yet while you’re enjoying your preparations for Rosh Hashanah with family and friends, our brothers and sisters in Ukraine are experiencing a summer fraught with danger, conflict, and suffering. I’m Rabbi Mayer Stambler, Chabad Rabbi of Poland. Since February 23rd, I’ve been busy day and night aiding my Ukrainian sisters and brothers. The scariest thing is when you are woken up at 5 AM to the sound of bombs exploding.” And it’s even scarier with no mother or father to hold you tight. Anastasiia and Ivan, orphaned from both parents, have been living alone. When they found themselves escaping the Russian wrath, hiding out in an underground parking garage, shivering more from terror than the biting cold, they knew they had to get away. That’s when they became a part of my family. And they were shocked by what greeted them. A beautiful hotel. Delicious meals. Warm rooms. Basic necessities. And most importantly, a loving and welcoming family. We’ve been helping Anastasiia and Ivan obtain the necessary documents to go to Israel, where they hope to restore their shattered lives. There are so many others with equally heartrending stories. We want to give every Jewish brother and sister a haven of normalcy. But the costs are exorbitant. Chabad of Poland is raising funds so we can continue sheltering people whose lives have been shattered. YOU can restore the safety and dignity in their lives.
