We’ve felt the impact of search’s volatility at Thrive, and have leaned into a new strategy to keep our content on top. We’re calling it “creating experience-led content.” Focusing on showing Google (and our target audience) why our content can be trusted and should be considered valuable. The strategy boils down to a neat formula HubSpot outlines quite well here – EEAT Soup. What is EEAT? EEAT stands for Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness. It's Google's way of ensuring that the content it serves up is high-quality and reliable. HubSpot's "soup" analogy is brilliant because it emphasizes how these elements should blend together seamlessly in your content. [In HubSpot’s post](, you get to learn more about what their soup looked like in their content. But the main takeaway for you is that you have a well of experience that qualifies you to share knowledge in your niche. But you need to let Google know that. And you can do that by creating your own “soup”: a formula you can use to remember to add all the important elements to your content. Key Ingredients for Your EEAT Soup Could Be: ➡️ Author Bios: Put a face to the name. Share who's writing and why they know their stuff. It builds trust with your readers. ➡️ Experience Boxes: Throw in real-life stories or personal anecdotes related to your topic. This shows you've got hands-on experience. ➡️ Update Regularly: Keep your content fresh. Add a "Last Updated" date to show it's current. This tells readers (and search engines) your info is up-to-date. ➡️ Cite Sources: Back up your facts with reliable sources. It shows you've done your homework and adds credibility to your content. ➡️ Feature Case Studies: Show off your successes and happy clients. Real-world results speak louder than promises.
