Hanukkah just started. Christmas this weekend. Kwanzaa on Monday. The end of the year after that. And tomorrow is National French Fried Shrimp Day and National Coquito Day, if you can wrap your head around that. I’m going to eat so many French fried shrimp, as soon as I figure out what makes it French. I hardly know what to do with myself! I was wandering around the Meatpacking District yesterday just looking into the windows at all the fancy boutiques, trying to imagine what occasion I’d need a down snow cape or luxury snow booties for, all while listening to a Frank Sinatra holiday album. I love stores where they seem to only sell two pieces of clothing; a real minimalist power move. I bought a Chilean orange wine, put my mittened hands up against the glass at the Tesla store, then trudged past the brownstones thinking about holly, ivy, and the time I went to an online Zumba class and stopped doing it 10 minutes into the class because I got tired, but then stayed on the video call while people did Zumba in the little squares because I didn’t want to ruin morale. Let’s keep up morale with some incredible Thrillist stories. We’ve got the quirkiest Christmas events, the coolest urban wineries in the US and where to find them, a new digital nomad program in Spain, a hearty beef stew made with Guinness, and even a festive twist on the classic Cosmopolitan cockail! What more could you ask for? I have to go Google, “Is The Price is Right still on?” and if it is, go watch The Price is Right. Ta-ta!
