[] I had the pleasure of attending a Broadway show last night and painting the town whatever color youâre supposed to paint the town when you go out on it. These are what late autumn nights in New York are all about: a star from television singing a song from a musical, then a meatloaf at the bar next to someone in their 80s whoâs staying up past your bedtime, or a large pasta for 17 that you thought was just for one from a family-style Italian restaurant, or an unthinkably expensive novelty martini at a bar whose vibe is âneon glass concierge dentist office pop-up where you can get so much steak (for a price) and pretend Carrie Bradshaw is real.â As Iâve probably said before, I take a great thrill from visiting the bustling streets and precarious wonders of midtown Manhattan, and it did not disappoint last night. I even saw a woman who was playing Minnie Mouse in Times Square take off her Minnie Mouse head and take a puff from a vape, in the rain, which was a profound pleasure. To celebrate the wonders of Thursday, Iâve assembled some incredible stories for you all today. Whether youâre into unpopular American states, the best Thanksgiving treats from Trader Joeâs, cannabis matcha lattes, anime conventions, bar cart essentials, or all of the above, you will just absolutely swoon for these stories. I know I did. If youâll excuse me, itâs time for me to visit a new neighborhood. Maybe today itâll be Tudor City. The island is my oyster! [-Ned Riseley, Senior Copywriter]( [ [( Travel [] [Fresh Takes on the Least Popular American States to Visit]( I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there are some states that are apparently less popular to visit than others. Well then, challenge accepted, because if thereâs one thing we know how to do at Thrillist, itâs find the good reasons to give a place our attention. Youâre telling me you canât find a good reason to visit South Dakota? The jokeâs on you, because the scenery there is completely out of this world, there are a ton of buffalo, and a literal corn palace. How dare you overlook a corn palace! Think Delawareâs a snooze? Think again; it has some amazing beach towns, historic sites, magnificent opportunities to tailgate, and more. Weâre trying to up the popularity on some of these spots and put them in their rightful place as destinations worth writing home about! Just kidding, I know you have a lot on your dish this year, so why not ask Trader Joeâs to help? Thereâs no shame in employing the guidance of everyoneâs favorite trader, Joe, to help you fill the table with incredible additions like gourmet fried onions or the Autumn Vegetable and White Bean Gratin. Now you can experience the joy of texting your holiday host: âFear not, Iâm bringing gratin!â and giving them something to be extra thankful for. [] [Thank you, Joe]( [(

Itâs a Humboldt Fog Tea Latte, and itâs a matcha tea with cannabis-infused milk that even looks like the weather out there. Youâll get a little caffeine and a little THC, and a really beautiful day thatâs as cozy as it is invigorating⦠kind of like Humboldt County. Anime NYC is just around the corner (like, tomorrow), and the streets are going to be flooded with people dressed up as anime characters. And what a joy that will be! There will be some appearances from heavy-hitters in the anime world, concerts, events, and more. You guys have fun and donât do anything I wouldnât do (although Iâve never been to an anime convention, so youâre already breaking that rule).
