Most of the lunches I’ve eaten in Midtown have been sad and rushed, but yesterday’s sandwich at [All’Antico Vinaio](, now open at 46th Street and 8th Avenue was the opposite. It was jubilant, I had to wait in line for almost an hour, and the Italian men making my perfect sandwich were in absolutely no rush, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. This is a sandwich spot in Florence that somehow thought that its sister location ought to be in the Theater District, and I can’t recommend it enough if you find yourself needing to kill time near the theater where Waitress the Musical is playing.
