If you’re venturing out, triple-check the opening status, entry requirements, and safety protocols for both your destination and home city upon your return. Be safe out there. [] As The Cure once said, “I don't care if Monday's blue, Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too, Thursday, I don't care about you, It's Friday, I'm in love with all these incredible Thrillist stories.” I hope you’ve made it out of this week okay. For all the New Yorkers in the crowd, I need to shout out the lunch I ate yesterday in Midtown. Most of the lunches I’ve eaten in Midtown have been sad and rushed, but yesterday’s sandwich at [All’Antico Vinaio](, now open at 46th Street and 8th Avenue was the opposite. It was jubilant, I had to wait in line for almost an hour, and the Italian men making my perfect sandwich were in absolutely no rush, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. This is a sandwich spot in Florence that somehow thought that its sister location ought to be in the Theater District, and I can’t recommend it enough if you find yourself needing to kill time near the theater where Waitress the Musical is playing. Okay, Italian sandwich plug done! Now it’s time for today’s top stories! From “star walking” to fresh ceviche to an episode of the Thrillist Explorers podcast that’s all about flight attendants to wafu spaghetti in Los Angeles to the wild and fascinating world of electric tea kettles. I’m off to try and recreate the Florentine sandwich I ate yesterday, and scream out my window at my neighbor whose dog won’t stop barking. Just kidding, I’ll just silently stew in rage in my apartment. Have a great weekend!
