If youâre venturing out, triple-check the opening status, entry requirements, and safety protocols for both your destination and home city upon your return. Be safe out there. [] I hope youâre all waking up well-rested from the illuminating and intoxicating effects of that Harvest Moon. What if this Thrillist newsletter just turned into a full-on astrology bulletin? I am very good at attributing my passing moods to the placement of the stars and the size of the moon, but I have a feeling that being a good astrologer requires more than just that⦠Or does it? Iâll let you decide. At any rate, I hope youâve been howling at the moon and finding healthy ways to vent all of the overwhelming feelings that are coming with this seasonal shift. Todayâs headlines include such topics as: Arkansas, mooncakes, an all Black climbing team that has its sights on Everest, a Banksy exhibit in Atlanta, and the best patio heaters on Amazon, now that things have chilled down a bit. Sending you a bunch of different vibes for whatever ails you! If you need me, Iâll be on a trip into the astral plane. Itâs just that time of year. [-Ned Riseley, Newsletter Contributor]( [ [( travel [] [Arkansas Doesnât Always Gets the Love It Deserves, but Thatâs About to Change]( No matter what you think of Arkansas⦠Kansas with two extra letters, âthe land of opportunity,â the state in which Minari was set⦠itâs a beautiful place to visit, and chances are you havenât been giving it the time of day it deserves. Hereâs our list of reasons why you shouldnât sleep on Arkansas. Just donât tell anyone; wouldnât want to spoil it! [] [Oh, Arkansas!]( [( [( food & drink [] [Tips on Scoring a Delicious Mooncake at the Mid-Autumn Festival]( For those of you who have seen Midsommar, I just want to assure you that a Mid-Autumn Festival is very different and doesnât require you to travel to Scandinavia with a depressed Florence Pugh (although, when I put it that way, it sounds kind of fun). A Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional Chinese festival to celebrate the harvest, and it features one of the most delicious sweets ever invented, the mooncake. Hereâs where to go to celebrate the harvest in style. I donât need to tell you what a huge feat getting to the top of Everest is (itâs kind of a big deal), but this mission in particular is also a huge step for representation in the climbing community. Phil Henderson is the leader of the group and hopes to influence how we think about race and the outdoors. Read more about the group and their expedition. [] [Climb every mountain]( [(

What better place to house the work of an evasive artist like Banksy than these mysterious catacombs? This cements Banksyâs position as the âphantom of the opera of Atlanta.â Okay, thatâs not really the vibe, but I thought it was kind of fun. However, that bizarre experience does not take away from my abiding love for patio heaters, and my firm belief that everyone should have one going into this fall and winter. Itâs a great way to sit outside and bask in the beauty of nature without compromising your temperature.
