If you’re venturing out, triple-check the opening status, entry requirements, and safety protocols for both your destination and home city upon your return. Be safe out there. [] Oh my stars, can you believe we’ve made it to the weekend? I have been finding this seasonal transition pretty harrowing and this week kind of ushered in a whole new level of stress. I don’t want to go too far and suggest that it’s something… cosmic… but maybe the vibes have been off all along. At any rate, I’m excited to get to this weekend, dance alone to a Blondie song in an empty room, and do some intensive breathing exercises. Today’s headlines are really something special. I know I say that a lot, but this time I mean it. Momofuku’s new instant noodles… stargazing in September… canoeing in Hawaii… old-school Las Vegas restaurants… and pizza ovens. If that isn’t eclectic with a side of wonderful, I don’t know what is. I have to begin my cosmic decompression. I wish I could bring you with me, but there are just too many of you. Wish me luck! [-Ned Riseley, Newsletter Contributor]( [ [( food & drink [] [When Regular Instant Ramen Just Doesn’t Cut It, Try Momofuku]( That’s right, Momofuku has a new instant noodle that we had the pleasure of trying. Of course, Momofuku really did its research; there is even talk of “noodle fatigue” from all of the research that went into creating these noodle varieties. I don’t want to spill the noodles too much in our assessment, but I think you’re gonna like these noodles! [] [Send noods]( [( [( backyard observatory [] [The Planets Are Extra Visible This Month]( Calling all my stargazers! Please put down your telescope for one goshdarn minute to listen to all of the things that you are going to be able to see in the night sky in September. Four of the five naked-eye planets are going to be extra visible this month. I probably don’t need to tell you this, but that is almost all five! Wowza! [] [Stargazing]( [( [( travel [] [Outrigger Canoeing in Hawaii Is a Must]( If you watched [The White Lotus](, you totally understand why the teenaged character, Quinn, missed his flight to stay behind and go canoeing with his bros. Well, you could go outrigger canoeing just like him. It’s a super fast way to get around, and it’s a really amazing way to do some whale watching. Oh no, now I am questioning every life choice and wondering why I have not devoted my life to outrigger canoeing. [] [Paddle away!]( [( *Sponsored Ads List [( food & drink [] [Experience Some of the Vintage Glamor of Vegas at These Historic Restaurants]( Vegas isn’t just a place to smoke a cigarette inside while drinking a $25 glass of wine and gambling away all of your life’s savings in a room that is “France-themed” (please don’t do that). It’s also a great place to go to some bonafide charming restaurants with a whole lotta character. Seriously, the food history in Vegas is completely unique, and we have a great list of all the places to check out if you find yourself in Sin City any time soon. [] [What happens in Vegas…]( [( *720x300 Ad Banner [( shopping [] [Make Pizza Like a Pro with These Amazing Ovens]( One of the good things to emerge from the last year is that people are more inspired to take ambitious culinary exploits into their own hands. After so much takeout, even a pizza delivery loses its allure. Best to spice things up with your own pizza oven. Here’s our list of the best ones, and please just promise me you’ll be careful. These things get really friggin’ hot. [] [Make your own!]( [( *Footer 728x90 Thrillist Editorial - Favorable reviews cannot be bought.
