It’s another beautiful day and June is FLYING BY. At least from where I’m sitting (a.k.a. lying down and sipping water in the most awkward position possible so as to not have to move too much)... I have a feeling it’s gonna be a beautiful weekend full of love, LOLZ, and lilacs. Maybe. I just said lilacs because it begins with an “L,” but you can do whatever you want this weekend. See if I care. Honestly, SEE. IF. I. CARE. Just kidding, I really care. I hope you know that. Whoever you are, whatever it is you’re doing… I really care about you and I want you to have a great weekend, okay? Just don’t go too hard to “make up for lost time.” Also, I hear there are a lot of colds going around. Sorry. That’s a bummer. Forget I said that. Hope you’re already waterskiing or doing keg stands on someone you’ve never met’s roof terrace. Today’s headlines are all about what an amazing weekend you’re gonna have. Whether you’re going to small town Oregon… whether you’re shopping for dad… whether you’re thinking about moving to Croatia… or whether you wanna shop for spices, this is a weekend to remember. Today and every day, I hope you dance. But please, please, please, do not start a flash mob. I have a really intense fear that in 2021, flash mobs are gonna start back up again, and I just want to say now, DON’T. Even if you feel like it would be the best way to celebrate the return to public life, just resist. Ohhhhh… whatever, you can do a flash mob if you want. Who am I to stop you? See ya, -[Ned Riseley, Newsletter Contributor]( [ [( travel [] [Soak Up This State's 24 Straight Hours of Daylight This Weekend]( This Sunday, June 20th, you may celebrate this summer soltice by throwing a barbecue, or using the longest day of the year to work on your tan at the beach. Maybe you’ll do some balcony gardening in hopes of a good harvest, dance around a bonfire to banish demons, or don a flower crown before base jumping off a cliff. Perhaps you’ll gather at Stonehenge in England and watch the morning sun shine right into its heart. Or, drive to Carhenge in Nebraska, where nothing really happens on the solstice, but it looks cool and you can invite your dad—Sunday also happens to be Father’s Day.
