I had a really exciting time. I did a lot of the things I usually do, like lie on the couch looking despondent and pretending I’m the protagonist of a silent film, but I also switched it up a little bit, and decided to lie on the floor looking somewhat less despondent and pretending I was the protagonist of a talkie. It’s the little things. I also had the distinct pleasure of going out to dinner, which now means crouching under a small heat lamp in the bus lane hoping you don’t spill your hot toddy from shivering, while cars speed by not two feet away from your foldable cafe table. I didn’t choose the European lifestyle, the European lifestyle chose me, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Today’s Thrillist headlines are certain to please. I have something for the vegans, something for the art snobs, something for the beer drinkers, something for the roller coaster people, and even something for the fitness enthusiasts, even though I feel we have nothing in common. You’re gonna love it! I hope you have a simply marvelous day. I’m going to keep staring into the refrigerator hoping that it sucks me in Poltergeist style. Then it’s a good 10 hours of looking at pictures of other people’s food that I can’t eat on Instagram. Ciao, [-Ned Riseley, Newsletter Contributor]( [ [( food & drink [] [These Companies Are Making Vegan-Friendly Breakfast More Exciting]( Vegans eat breakfast too, you know. This article is all about all of the companies that are upping their vegan breakfast game. Finally some aquafaba and garbanzo bean flour to kickstart your morning! I’m happy for you, vegans! You deserve some alternatives to your usual breakfast of wet grass and soy candles! These treats look absolutely delicious. I’ve said it before and I’ll certainly say it again: I really CAN’T believe it’s not butter. I have to go Google aquafaba now, bye! [] [Vegan Delights]( [( *Sponsored Ads List [( news [] [Conceptual Art About Student Debt]( “Da Vinci of Debt” is a piece of art that is now hanging in Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central… It’s 2,600 diplomas and is a comment on student debt. A tornado of paper that speaks to our current chaotic educational debt crisis… it’s not exactly what I want to be thinking about right now, seeing as I myself have student loans… but what can I say—I’m very avoidant! If you’re braver than I am and want to go visit Grand Central for old times’ sake, consider going to check out this exhibit! [] [It’s Aht, Dahling]( [( [( food & drink [] [Beer Subscription Services Are Saving Craft Breweries]( What I wouldn’t give to get sloppy off a complex and hazy IPA at a craft brewery right now. I can hear it now, my slurred yells of revelry echoing against the mighty beer barrels, mingling with the Bon Iver song that’s playing, as if in harmony! But I can’t do that right now. None of us can. And in lieu of that, the best way to show up to your favorite craft breweries is by joining a beer subscription club. It’s really a lifesaver to many of these breweries and you can read more about it in this article! [] [Brewskis 4 All]( [( *720x300 Ad Banner [( news [] [The Phoenix Will Rise From the Ashes of Coney Island]( Here’s a good idea for what to do when the world is safer! Coney Island is introducing a brand new roller coaster called the Phoenix. It’s family friendly, and Deno Vourderis, a co-owner of the theme park, wants the ride to reflect the fun of the imminent roaring '20s. After the roller coaster year we’ve had, what better way to cleanse than to get on a roller coaster and let go. I can’t wait to throw up on this cathartic, post-vaccine dream escape. That came out wrong. [] [Take Me There]( [( *Footer 728x90 Thrillist Editorial - Favorable reviews cannot be bought.
