In the summer of 1845, Ireland’s potato crops… July 07, 2022 [UNSUBSCRIBE]( | [WEBSITE]( [Altucher Confidential] “Often, when it comes to the government fixing things, the cure becomes worse than the disease. This time will be no different.” [HERO IMAGE] Famine → Mass Migration → Solution? By Chris Campbell Billion-Dollar Crypto Fund Dumps Bitcoin for $2 "3rd-Gen" Crypto [Read more here...]( [Here's Why It Solves Crypto's Biggest Problems.]( In the summer of 1845, Ireland’s potato crops seemed better than ever. But by October, farmers noticed that some of their potatoes were falling to rot. Scientists traveled to the farms to inspect the fields. They suggested treating the plots with lime, salt, and chlorine gas, but to no avail: nothing stopped the rot from spreading. In November, it was reported that “one half of the actual potato crop of Ireland is either destroyed or remains in a state unfit for the food of man.” Then, in early Spring of 1846, panic emerged as the reality of the situation set in and food supplies disappeared. People ate whatever they could find. Leaves. Bark. Grass. Dandelions. They even plugged their noses and ate the diseased potatoes. As a result, a fever spread throughout the lands. In 1846, barely a single healthy potato grew in Ireland. In 1847, though it rebounded a bit, a shortage of seeds led to fewer and fewer crops. It took until 1850 for the famine to end, but by then 1 million had died, and millions of others had fled. Between 1845 and 1855, more than 1.5 million adults and kids left Ireland for America. Many others arrived in Canada. Most arrived with nothing except the clothes on their backs, suffering from starvation and disease. Famine First Experts agree that the biggest health threat in the coming months isn’t COVID, MonkeyPox, or anything like that. It’s going to be famine. Since people appear to have short memories these days, let’s not forget… Widespread famine is a problem that’s loomed for decades, despite billions pumped into the Foreign Aid Industrial Complex each year. Biden’s Plan to Confiscate Your Cash? [Click here for more...]( March 9, President Biden quietly signed Executive Order 14067. This Order could pave the way for Democrats holding onto power in 2024. In fact, they could control America indefinitely. A former advisor to the CIA and Pentagon believes this order could allow for legal government surveillance of all US citizens; total control over your bank accounts and purchases; and the ability to silence all dissenting voices for good. To protect your freedom and your wealth, [see his dark warning now.]( In fact, it’s a horse beat to pulp that the foreign aid industry has probably hurt more than it has helped. As Tom Dichter writes in [this Quartz piece]( thousands of articles and books have come to the same conclusion about the global industry of foreign aid (emphasis is mine): that development must be led by the people in the poor countries themselves, that dependency has been one of the few tangible results of the trillions we have spent, that the complexity and the context-specific nature of each country’s politics, social structure, and culture cannot be easily understood by outsiders and thus the short term three to five year aid “project” is a wildly inappropriate vehicle for aid, and so on. So you can blame Putin for flinging us off the edge, but how we got to the edge, in a time of advanced communication and coordination technology, is a different story entirely. Today, Ukraine feeds nearly 400 million people in the Middle East and Africa. Right now, the only way for that food to leave is the Black Sea, where Russian pirates fire at ships and block ports. That means the Middle East and Africa will likely be hit hard by food shortages first. David Beasley, head of the U.N. World Food Program (WFP), said that a “record 345 million acutely hungry people are marching to the brink of starvation.” By the way, let’s not let the WFP fully off the hook. They’re part of the foreign aid complex. And, before the world was distracted by COVID, the [U.N.’s Food Program was under fire for crony deals, abuse of authority, and mass corruption.]( The 2020s, like with many things, has just been an accelerant of trends already present. On the year, global food prices are up 30%, with no signs of dropping. Add in the supply chain issues… It’s a problem that could last for years to come. Migration Second Beasley also said something else: that the famine could bring “global destabilization, starvation and mass migration on an unprecedented scale.” Throughout history, mass migration is typically present in times of great change and turmoil. And it also leads to even more destabilization. Jim Rickards predicts the famines in the Mid-East and Africa could become even more destabilizing than the Arab Spring. (Which, by the way, was also caused by food crises.) “We could also,” he says, “see waves of mass migration from Africa and the Middle East as desperate and hungry people flee their homelands.” America could see another wave of mass migration at the southern border, too. All of this puts further stress on an already-stressed de-globalizing system. “We’re looking at a humanitarian crisis of unprecedented proportions,” says Rickards, “probably the worst since the black death of the 14th century.” But that’s not even the scariest part. The SCARIEST part is the SOLUTION to this hydra of crises we’re up against in the 2020s. Often, when it comes to the government, the cure becomes worse than the disease. And Rickards believes this time will be no different. [Click here to see what Jim predicts will happen next.]( Until tomorrow, [Chris Campbell] Chris Campbell For Altucher Confidential “The Mainstream Media Is Lying To You!” The media would have you believe that the worst of the supply chain issues are over. But the opposite is true… Behind the scenes, things are getting much, much worse. Bob Biesterfeld, CEO of one of the biggest logistics firms in the world, warns “the pressures on global supply chains have not eased, and we don’t expect them to any time soon.” This is going to impact every American’s life in a potentially major way… And I’m urging everyone I can to prepare now. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
