There is something urgent I’m asking you to take a look at. One of my colleagues just uncovered the truth behind America’s inflation numbers. Despite the circus of distractions you’re hearing on the news... The lies and the misdirections... There’s one former CIA and Pentagon insider revealing the TRUTH behind the inflation numbers in America. You might have known something strange was going on in America, but I can guarantee you weren't expecting this. [Click here to see the story the mainstream news is trying to bury.]( If this weekend, you were talking about the virus, inflation, or anything else, rather than hating Vladimir Putin, you must not be keeping up with the mandated news cycle. The same gang that cheered on the destruction of rights, liberties, and essentially all sanity for two years has already moved on to the next chapter in the novel they are forever writing on our brains. And as usual, the story is preposterously binary: there are good guys, bad guys, and nothing in between. Ignore History! With Covid, you would swear that this was the first virus humanity had encountered, perhaps with the exception of long-ago plagues in Europe. There was no history worthy of mention in how the world dealt with 2012, 2009, 1968, 1957, 1942, or anything else. In those cases, life went on as normal while doctors worked with patients. Why, oh why, did “public health” have to impose near-universal house arrest for this one? Take a look at this one chart, which is extremely revealing. It shows something very simple: a two-year look at Covid cases per million against deaths per million, thus revealing what used to be called the “case fatality rate” (but of course the definition of cases is no longer reliable, and, for that matter, misclassification raises serious questions about deaths too). What might one conclude about the severity and prevalence of this virus from this chart alone? And remember that this chart looks pretty much the same the world over. [chart] The conclusion from just eye-balling this is: this was a mostly mild virus that hit a small demographic hard. What is that demographic? The aged and unwell. And that’s pretty much the whole story. We knew this two years ago. Everything that followed was just detail. Wow. And they wrecked the whole world for this? The virus still came, and then went. There was no stopping the spread, not even in locked-down New Zealand. People gain immunity from exposure. No state actions stopped anything. The vaccine, widely mandated, had some therapeutic benefits however temporary but did nothing to stop infection or spread. The reality is devastating for the ruling class and public health officials. It is the biggest failure of public policy in our lifetimes. And what are they doing about it? Not admitting error. Not paying victims. Not rethinking anything. They are moving on. Nothing to see here! Instead: think about Putin! And what are we to think about this new war? There is only one answer: Putin is a monster who woke up one day and decided for no reason to invade an innocent neighbor. No history. No context. No provocation. It was nothing but raw imperialism. However, anyone with specialized knowledge or even a passing curiosity about this conflict should know that the roots here are 30 years in the past, with the drawing of borders after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Putin says that Ukraine is not a real nation. Depending on one’s definition — the concept of nationhood is extremely complicated — there is a point here. That doesn’t mean it can thus be obliterated but it does require some deeper analysis. For what is happening here there is plenty of blame to go around. Part belongs to the Moscow hegemon. But there is also a serious diplomatic failure on the part of the US and NATO, which has been obtuse about how Moscow would eventually respond to the country-by-country creep of NATO’s promise to give military aid to countries on Russia’s borders, in violation of long-ago promises not to do that. All that aside, wisdom of the ages suggests that the US should do nothing here. It’s done enough already. But of course that never seems to be an option, and thus are sanctions being ramped up by the day. The best hope we have here is for a negotiated settlement, something that guarantees the security of the Russia-loyal regions of the country, while extending promises to the rest of the country that its independence will be maintained so long as there is no chance of joining NATO. That might be enough to end the bombings. Such an ending would be a truly wonderful thing to behold: the return of old-fashioned diplomacy. Both Putin and Biden could declare victory and forget about it. The Biden administration doesn’t want this to end too soon, however. He’s got a State of the Union address to give. He wants to use the occasion to yammer on about human rights, freedom, the sovereignty of nations, and the immorality of conquest, blah blah blah blah. Truly I don’t think he’ll get away with it this time but I could be wrong. Former CIA Advisor: “They are LYING about inflation!” Despite the circus of distractions you’re hearing on the news... This is a very serious matter for the Fed, which is again under pressure not to rush the interest rate increases. Whether the Fed goes along or not, don’t expect any change in the trajectory of inflation. The world is flooded in paper money and that cannot be magically sucked out of the system. It’s here to stay and will continue to drive up prices. Oil is the most interesting case, now reaching above $100 a barrel. That is already being reflected in prices at the pump, which is in turn hitting shipping costs yet again, which gets folded into the prices of food, clothing, and all consumer and producer goods. No amount of jaw-boning by the president and the heads of his agencies is going to change that. Between inflation, Russia/Ukraine, and Covid, we are gaining the impression of a state apparatus that is nothing but theater: press releases, bluster, doing something to do something, but ultimately unable to change the course of history on the ground. It is all sound and fury that changes nothing. How long will humanity as a whole put up with this? The weekend was also filled with predictions of a coming shakeup in financial markets, as sectors, industries, and companies that thrived in pandemic times due to loose money and subsidies getting walloped by investors who have changed focus. This seems like a reasonable prediction. But there is more coming. The spreading of universal cynicism toward public officials in general is going to have a profound consequence: the loss of trust in everything. Hey, but if you enjoy the theater, it’s there for you.
