It’s Here [Jeffrey Tucker]Dear Daily Prophecy Reader, It all started with a seeming attempt to control a virus, but it is ending with totalitarian political control via control over your bank account. This is not some conspiracy theory, not an apocalyptic warning, not some fear-mongering prediction of what could possibly happen in the distant future. This is here and now. Consider the following statement from the chief of the Ottawa police: “If you are involved in this protest, we will actively look to identify you and follow up with financial sanctions and criminal charges, absolutely.” The right to peacefully protest is effectively gone. Bank accounts around the country are being frozen for purely political reasons, some wrongly due to bad facial recognition technology and name confusion. It’s something few people ever imagined possible. They Tried Keep in mind that the Canadian truckers and their supporters were all-too-aware of what happened to the protestors in the US from January 6, 2021. The idea was that they got in trouble because they became unruly, climbing the walls of the Capitol building, and invading offices and chambers. It seems to make sense in some way. The Canadians figured they would take a different route: singing, dancing, handing out food, and generally promoting love and community as an alternative to despotic controls. That’s smart and correct. They would simply exercise their rights to assemble. However, it didn’t work. Masked shock troops — these were not normal police — without badges but with anti-riot gear, tear gas, clubs, and ferocious intent broke windows, muscled crowds, clubbed reporters, grabbed away phones and cameras, and sprayed anyone in the eyes who did not immediately flee. An elderly woman was trampled by a horse. The truckers finally said they needed to go in order to keep the peace. A friend of mine is a scientist who went to Ottawa to explain how the truckers were actually correct on the science. The vaccine mandates make no sense: they do not stop infection or spread so there is no need for a universal mandate. He spoke tirelessly, served up pancakes to protestors, made good friends, and gave constant media interviews. All seemed to be going well, until he got word of the warrant out for his arrest. Next thing you know, he had to get out of town. I’m still waiting on the latest word. No Right to Donate Actually, the government has said that it will exercise all its power to investigate and punish not only leaders, not only truckers, not only regular people who showed up, but also every single donor who gave any money to try to help them. It’s even crazier than that: government authorities have arrived to shut down coffee shops that helped the truckers! All of this in a Western Democracy. And think of this: not one Western leader has condemned Justin Trudeau’s emergency powers or the police-state actions that dispersed peaceful protestors. Not one. Why? Because Canada is the model for the future of all states. The Polls I read in the media reports that 70% of Canadians are happy that Ottawa has been cleansed of protests. Right. What are you going to say when the pollster calls under these conditions, when everything you say or do can be held against you? It’s preposterous. For all we know, the percentages are reversed. Many Canadians are right now being threatened with their jobs, having their bank accounts frozen, and therefore they are changing their email addresses, deleting even their email archives and social media accounts. Facial recognition technology is being used to identify every person who showed up with support. This is all about keeping people in line, making sure that they comply with the edicts of the administrative state. No need to review this point, but the system of “social credit” is an invention of the Chinese Communist Party. The idea is to combine three institutions in a single app: vaccine status, social media score, and finances. You step out of line and your access to your money is gone. Doesn’t matter if you are rich or poor. You can be financially body bagged with a switch pulled by one bureaucrat. Social Credit Tyranny It’s so powerful that Chinese friends of mine in the US are afraid to post anything at all on social media. They will not sign their names to articles that are even slightly political. They are cautious when sending emails. They assume that no matter what, the CCP is following them wherever they are in the entire world. They live in fear. Think about this too: have you heard a single Western political leader or any really prominent person in corporate America or media condemn this system? I can think of a few commentators in the mainstream, nearly all associated with Fox. Otherwise, the opposition lives only on dark social, new social, chat forums, and other venues with extremely low reach. I used to think all of this was conspiracy theory. But when it becomes real before your eyes, you have to admit that it is all true. This is where it is headed — or at least where they want to take us. The Bombshell Will all of this work? Not without a massive struggle. New problems have cropped up and the protests are just the beginning. For whatever reason, the New York Times has run a devastating and shocking story over the weeked. It revealed that the CDC has been hiding vast troves of its data for at least a year. This data pertains to vaccination status, hospitalization, death, race, and age and other demographics. People in the background admitted to the reporter that the CDC is not revealing data because they feared it would be “misinterpreted.” We can be sure what’s in it. It shows hospitalization rates as higher or higher for the vaccinated. It shows the concentration of death is almost entirely among the vaccinated elderly. It shows nearly zero risk among the cohort that Big Pharma is demanding be vaccinated. In other words, it shows that most of what the CDC has said for the last year is replete with falsehood. This scandal is real. It is known. It is getting worse. It will be investigated. Heads will roll. And this is why the NYT moved on the story. They could no longer keep it suppressed. Why it matters: this new despotism began in the claim that the ruling class would control a virus, but it is ending with a full upheaval of every aspect of our lives. We must know what happened here. In the meantime, it’s long past time to take steps to protect ourselves. Do not trust big tech. Do not trust the media machine. Do not trust any major Western leader who is silent on the despotisms of our times. If freedom, safety, health, and security is to mean anything in the coming years, it will come only from the decisions we make in our own lives.
