And the reason your retirement account could go down to zero? I’ve been warning readers about the REAL CAUSE behind this… [I explain everything in my video—you can click the image above to play it…]( [(Watch my short video now, before it’s taken down).]( Pessimists sound smart. Optimists make money. I don’t remember where I first read that. But it’s a popular thing to say these days. And I also believe it’s true. “Meanwhile,” Chris Burniske adds, “rational optimists understand how the world works.” Burniske is worth a listen or two. He’s a partner at venture capital firm Placeholder. He co-authored the hit book Crypto-Assets. And he used to lead the crypto research division at Cathie Wood’s investment management firm ARK Invest. “The 2020s,” says Burniske, “may be the decade where value goes bust, growth turns into value, and crypto reigns supreme.” But, he hedged with this: “That doesn't mean '22 won't be rocky, but in rockiness there's tremendous opportunity.” Burniske shared some thoughts this week on how to navigate the choppy waters. First, the obvious: we don’t really know what’s going to happen. Embrace the Unknown He wrote: “While you could fully allocate your crypto portfolio at current levels, wake up in 5 years and be reasonably happy, in the meantime, you may have to endure a 50% drop (leading to $BTC $22K, $ETH $1,550).” Nonetheless, he says, “buying now is better than never buying.” But what about the crypto rally? Isn’t it still on? Isn’t that what the bulls are saying? It could be. But 2022 seems pretty erratic. It’s becoming more and more difficult to tell. Though we’re bullish in both the short and long-term, our philosophy is to lean into the long view. Greed and fear tend to take things to the extremes. So while there's a ‘mean,’ Burniske points out, “we always overshoot that mean to the downside in bear markets and overshoot it to the upside in bulls.” In short… Crypto is down. It could go down more. But it could also go up. And here’s the rub… Cryptos Are Set To Explode In 2022! [Click here for more...]( was a record year for cryptocurrencies… In fact, one expert calls it “the defining year” for crypto. But if you’ve missed out so far, it’s NOT too late to get started… Because many predict 2022 will be even bigger! [>> To see how to stake your claim, click here now. <<]( Bitcoin as a Disaster Hedge? Says Burniske: “One major thing Cathie Wood has taught me is that while people retreat to ‘value’ when they're scared, in the climate of extreme change such a strategy will eventually not work as many value stocks experience a slow death due to their disruption by growth names.” Moreover, he says people are beginning to understand Bitcoin’s value proposition. Mainly, says Burniske, “it’s conservatism; that it will not change in a world that’s changing at an accelerating rate.” Ultimately, of course, the market will decide. But sooner or later, we think we’ll cross the crypto rubicon. By that time, if you’re not in… you’re too late. And you’re chasing the bull. So what to do? Burniske offers this: → Stay focused on growth. → With dry powder, have patience. → Buy on the bloodiest days. And, here’s what we think… Never Stop Learning It wouldn’t hurt to take a deep dive into where this market is headed… And how to stay ahead of it. For that, we put together our Big Book of Crypto.
