Watch this before it’s too late](. I don’t like to be correct about this stuff, but I’ve been warning for months that the coming year is going to be as bad as we’ve experienced in our lifetimes. More control, more chaos, reduced prosperity, fewer opportunities, more tyranny all around. The image of a cornered rat comes to mind, hissing and leaping. This seems to be what’s happening at the highest levels of power these days. Stay strong my friends! Let us begin with the strange tightening of rules around the Internet’s main portals. The signal that this was happening was the sudden resignation of Jack Dorsey at Twitter. He is the founder and CEO. Suddenly one day, he was gone, seemingly ousted, though no one would say so. His replacement is highly conventional, a champion of censorship and lockdowns. This will be the month of the long knives at Twitter. I fully expect my own account to be zapped along with millions of others. But, you say, Dorsey is not exactly a consistent proponent of free speech. He is as woke as any, you say. Maybe. Over the last six months, he has taken to Tweeting content from places on the Internet you are not supposed to go, like to Mises.org. He took a liking to a radical tract by Murray Rothbard, a case against the state. Outright anarchism. His tweet generated massive views and reads. I recall thinking: this guy has changed. He is playing a dangerous game. He will surely be ousted from his own company. A few months later, he gets ousted. New Terms The following day, Twitter released new terms of service. This is always bad news these days. It never means more open. Among the new rules is that you cannot post pictures of videos of people without their permission unless they are public figures. Even with public figures, they can be taken down if the images are demeaning or harassing. I’m trying to think how this would work. In the last year, we’ve had videos on Twitter posted from all over the world showing mass protests against lockdowns and mandates. None of this stuff is being covered by the mainstream press. It pretty much only exists on Twitter. They showed tens of thousands of people in the streets all over Europe and Latin America and the US, people angry at what is being done to them. My question: will this be allowed in the future? None of those people in the protest have given their permission. Twitter now has an excuse to remove them all, plus bad the accounts of people who post them. If a protest doesn’t appear in the mainstream press and it is not tweeted out, did it really happen? Also concerning public figures, I do wonder what this means for politics. We cannot make fun of Biden or Fauci? Are politicians now off limits? If they object to an image they find demeaning, can they take it down? Maybe. At least the rationale is in place. A year ago, I could never have imagined such a thing. Now? Yeah, I can imagine a world in which Twitter is nothing but state-approved content. [Click here for the urgent details.]( Same Day, Google The same day Google released its new terms of service for Google and YouTube and all the properties they control. It is extremely specific. Check this out: YouTube doesn't allow content that spreads medical misinformation that contradicts local health authorities’ (LHA) or the World Health Organization’s (WHO) medical information about COVID-19. This is limited to content that contradicts WHO or local health authorities’ guidance on: - Treatment - Prevention - Diagnosis - Transmission - Social distancing and self isolation guidelines - The existence of COVID-19 Catch that? Only crazy people would deny the existence of Covid-19 so clearly that content has to go, they say. But what’s this about “social distancing and self isolation guidelines.” All that stuff is not only brutal, but completely unworkable, a proven farce allegedly structured to flatten the curve or otherwise control a virus. But there is no evidence from anywhere in the world that these policies achieved anything at all. The line about self isolation — what precisely does that mean? The government arrests you and puts you in a concentration camp (as is happening now in Australia) and then puts you in solitary confinement — and if your friends complain on YouTube or really anywhere on the Internet, the post can now be removed. It’s actually mind boggling. These are policies that seemed designed to bring about China-style social controls in the US, and really all over the world. Actually it gets worse. Here are other things that are [now banned]( Google, which is to say on 90% of the Internet: - Content that recommends use of Ivermectin or Hydroxychloroquine for the prevention of COVID-19 - Claims that Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine are safe to use in the treatment COVID-19 - Claims that wearing a mask is dangerous or causes negative physical health effects - Claims that masks do not play a role in preventing the contraction or transmission of COVID-19 - Claims about COVID-19 vaccinations that contradict expert consensus from local health authorities or WHO - Claims that an approved COVID-19 vaccine will cause death, infertility, miscarriage, autism, or contraction of other infectious diseases - Diagnostic misinformation: Content that promotes diagnostic methods that contradict local health authorities or WHO. - Claims that approved COVID-19 tests cannot diagnose COVID-19 - Claims that people have not died or gotten sick from COVID-19 - Claims that the virus no longer exists or that the pandemic is over - Claims that the symptoms, death rates, or contagiousness of COVID-19 are less severe or equally as severe as the common cold or seasonal flu What’s striking is that existing FAQs on the FDA and CDC websites would run afoul of many of those points! Even the words of the president and the CDC director would be contrary to those terms. These terms of use make it not possible to cite thousands of professional research studies. The whole thing is utterly bizarre. Let’s just be honest here: Google and Twitter are signing up to be propaganda agents of a bio-facist medical state. This has nothing to do with health. It’s all about control, and the agenda is far reaching and very serious. Will You Ever Travel Again? Meanwhile, the Biden administration is, according to the Washington Post, using the excuse of the Omicron variant to further restrict international travel, even for American citizens returning from abroad. You might need a test one day in advance (those can be hard to get in many places) and they might impose a 7-day quarantine on all people coming into the country, even US citizens. How can they track whether you are complying? No word on that yet, but a likely candidate is a mandatory surveillance app that you will need to carry. One wonders if starting next year, we will ever see the world again. The controls here are so egregious that hardly anyone could possibly be expected to go along with them. Why is all of this happening now? Well, it might have something to do with Biden’s plummeting approval ratings, the likelihood of an electoral route in the coming year, and the court decisions all over the country that are striking down mandates and controls. They are trying their best to keep a lid on all of this, while preparing for much worse economic times ahead. The culture and politics of control are falling apart.
