But it is in the re-reading that the shock really hit me. This is truly a transformative moment in American and world history. “This is not about freedom or personal choice,” he said. He is right about that. He and his handlers care nothing about either. It’s about an astounding increase in the power of the central government. He not only mandated an experimental vaccine on 80 million people, many of whom do not want and do not need it. He also threatened governors, hinted at deploying the military against Americans, demonized and even encouraged anger at the non-compliant, while completely ignoring existing science. As to the science point, note that he never once referenced the existence of natural immunity to Covid-19, which has been established in at least 15 different empirical studies. But you don’t even need studies. Humanity has known about natural immunity since the ancient world. Relying on it to bolster protection against disease has been an essential policy for a century and a major reason for longer and healthier lives. In one speech, Biden decided to ignore it completely. People tell me all the time to stop being shocked that the administration that rules in the name of science is actually ignoring science. For example, Biden went on about the glories of masking even though no existing study clearly establishes that the paper with which we cover our faces makes any difference in the spread. To those who say I emphasize all this too much I say: you are probably right. But before we move to the political motivations, let me mention in passing a new study that demonstrates something truly ominous. It is from four university medical scientists. It is called “SARS-CoV-2 mRNA Vaccination-Associated Myocarditis in Children Ages 12-17: A Stratified National Database Analysis.” It examines data from vaccines for boys 12-17 and compares it with Covid risk of hospitalization, with a focus on adverse outcomes for the heart such as myocarditis. The results are stunning. “For boys 16-17 without medical comorbidities, the rate of CAE is currently 2.1-3.5 times higher than their 120-day COVID-19 hospitalization risk, and 1.5-2.5 times higher at times of high weekly COVID-19 hospitalization.” In English, young men are at greater risk from the vaccine than from Covid. This study has not been contradicted. This is what Biden is demanding for the whole of these people. As for the rest of the side effects, there is no one competent enough to assure people that these vaccines are as safe and effective as vaccines in the past. We do not have enough experience with them to know. Anyone who says otherwise is really just speculating. No more Wall Street?]( The Politics of War The Biden speech provided plenty of evidence that there really is a political war going on here. He decided to make the noncompliant the enemy, vaguely even hinting that violence against them is understandable. “I understand your anger at those who haven’t gotten vaccinated,” said. Further to the governors in red states that have protected the freedom of the people, Biden said: “If they will not help, if those governors won’t help us beat the pandemic, I’ll use my power as president to get them out of the way.” This is essentially a declaration of war. I’m sorry to put it that way but that’s where we are. It’s red vs blue, a war to the knife over power. Already 19 governors have signed up to sue the federal government. That’s great, provided that the American court system still works and that the Biden administration gives a flying fig about what the courts say. In the case of the eviction moratorium, they clearly said that they do not care. So I’m actually not sure what a court case achieves in this case. Why Is He Doing This? Friends of mine claim that Biden is actually trying to start a civil war. Maybe. But here’s what is strange. Biden’s popularity has been in a freefall for at least a month, if you can believe the polls. He is an extremely weak president, living in a sea of red. He is underwater, as they say in the political business. And he uses this moment to further divide the country, muttering falsities and threatening people with ever more fines and mandates that violate every principle of human rights and freedoms. Why would he do this? One possible theory is that he is being sacrificed by powers that are behind the scenes. Who are they? Why are they doing this? Of that I’m unclear. But I’m starting to understand why it is that decrepit regimes like the old Soviet Union chose doddering old fools who are past the point of being able to think to be their front men. Regardless, the effects of this are extremely real. What this speech shows is that this administration is completely unhinged, willing to use any power to achieve the unachievable. Already you can see the difference in economic growth in red states and blue. Florida is up 18% in restaurant reservations since 2019. New York is down 35%. So it is throughout the country, with red states doing the bulk of the lifting in the economic realm, while blue states generally languish. The demographics will continue to shift as more people uproot their lives to flee Biden-style despotism and tyranny. The newest inflation numbers are terrible. And they are likely to get worse, despite all the promises. Already, the Biden administration is blaming not The Fed, but private industry. Said an Biden official of meat prices: “What we see here smacks of pandemic profiteering and that is the behavior the administration finds concerning.” No question that the administration will attempt price controls of a brutal sort. This is coming, my friends. What’s the End Game? Not even Woodrow Wilson, not even FDR, openly raged against the political leaders and populations of other states in the union who dared to persist in freedom in the presence of federal imposition. This is what Biden is doing now, in complete defiance of the federal system. The dangers here are immense for the future of the American republic. We are supposed to have a federalist style system. But the crazed socialist ideology that is now in control of Washington seeks total power and will stop at nothing to get it. We are in for some very tough times ahead. We will face challenges like never before, and the economic repercussions are going to be extreme.
